The rankings are a farce. A few years ago there was an argument that they were the best side in the world on paper. But the likes of Vermalen, Alderwield, Vertonghen miles past their best and they've been replaced by a worse level of player. Eden Hazard has been poor too. Their best chance was in 2016 or 2018.

I doubt the climate will be any warmer than a decent British summer. I've been to Doha in January and February and frankly it isn't that warm. Certainly need a jacket in the evenings.
 
Will be lovely in Qatar at that time of year….. probably a tad humid for our guys but can work with that

Canadian 'Soccer' Association couldn't organise the proverbial piss-up. Iran shoots down a Ukraine aircraft in 2020 killing 85 Canadians and they want a 'friendly' with them as a warm up before the World Cup. The CSA are seriously not on this planet. Just pay the players, Herdman, and his staff, whatever they want. This isn't going to come around again as quickly.
