The problem is Evans has absolutely no pace and jumps as if he is wearing lead boots, he just continually fouls in his attempts to win any ball and would be a liability with his temper, winning few challenges would lead to his frustrations ending in more fouls,a potential booking or a sending off. 🤔🙄

Lets face it this season is already a write off unless we somehow stay in contention with the top 6 till January and then finish the squad. I do believe money will be made available in that window but just how much is anyones guess. Personally I would like to see permanent players coming in as loan players will just need replacing again and we already have a couple in now. Whilst Parrott will unlikely be missed, Fernandes is looking the real deal and it will be broken hearts again in May.

It will be interesting to see if Lowe takes the gutless approach again on Saturday, Sheff utd are great, granted, but we are ok on our day and can’t afford to sit back like we did last night. Time to show some balls and maybe let them know they can’t come here and turn us over.

I think everyone is feeling that right now. If the Hemmings really wanted to achieve something they would have shown that by now. Ridsdale has said there is no queue for new owners right now but are always open for discussions. Why does nobody want us? 🥹 football founder member with a pretty stadium and the best fans in the world.

Probably cus we're losing at least 6 million a year apparently! 🤣
 
I don't really think its just the strikers to blame. It isn't just strikers that score goals.

For me we simply have to get Fernandez in the team. I wouldn't want to drop Brady though as he's obviously a proper quality player at this level.

I wondered last night if we could drop DJ who was shocking & try Brady as one of the two more forward midfielders alongside Browne. Browne on the right working with Potts and Brady more on the left working with Fernandez, with Whiteman sitting as usual. If we could get Brady further up in and around the box I think he'd be a goal threat.

I think Brady would be more likely to spot Riis' runs in behind which we've abysmal at so far this season.

Admittedly, Maguire got injured (shocker 😒 ) in the first friendly, but the club should have made it clear to Ched and SM that they were no longer in RL's plans and the club would do whatever it could to help them find a move elsewhere (subsidising wages, free transfer, whatever).

Instead, neither were listed and it doesn't look like any real attempt was made to move them on. 🙁

Surely RL knew they weren't good enough and he knew the budget, so why didn't we get busy sooner?

Unless of course, RL looked at them and thought: 'Yeah, they'll do for me.'

So we push ourselves quite hard with the wages, can’t fault them for that. But for what reason? Its obviously not for premier league football as our attacking options say it all. Maybe we should just embrace our status as a mediocre championship side with a league 1 budget.
 
A few on here panned Carlton Morris for 2m when Luton signed him and he was suggested on here, saying he wasn’t worth it

5 goals in 9 games now…

Yet, if we paid that sort of loan fee to Spurs, that is pretty much what we did with Parrott, only we've only got him for a year.

Last season in League 1 he went on a run of 23 league games without a goal. That's got to be in his head now that he has started all nine of our league games and not scored.

We need to try Maguire with Riis for a few games to see if someone can start to find Emil with the right sort of pass.

And NakhinWells a- he’s scored a few. Before that it was Cameron Jerome/ Lewis Gregory. We keep saying not good enough but look at what we’ve got!

Yes on Wells, but Cameron Jerome has scored 3 goals in 2 seasons. Lee Gregory is playing in League 1. They aren’t good enough, that’s Evans level of return
