or just a fantasist ?? 😉Watched on ifollow. We missed Browne. He is the key linking midfield and attack and gives Mads the freedom to perform. Without him Mads was ineffective. But I do blame Our Badges Manager. He did nothing to stop Birmingham's creativity. As with other lower teams he seems to presume if we play our game they will overcome. Without Browne we couldn't.
Does our manager even know our best team and their positions?
I've always thought that the upturn in form from the second half against Bristol was down to the players. Browne particularly. I would rather he were the manager! [perhaps that is why the club are not offering him a new contract yet, or he is refusing to sign one???]
Is there a conflict of opinions in camp? Am I being controversial?
I’ve seen one of our players, presumably the same one, avoid the sprinting warm up before - if he’s not been excused for some reason, someone really needs to be talking to him about it.or just a fantasist ?? 😉
I could disagree with much of what you said but I respect we have different opinions and see things differently.
Yesterday we started with 5 of our regular outfield 10 missing / not fit to start so thats a massive hurdle to work around for any manager.
to overcome it we needed the other 5 to work their socks off and though Hughes and Lindsay defended manfully the front 3 were awful and a massive let down.
What summed it up for me was seeing how we 'ran out' for the 2nd half yet 1 of the 'stars' just ambled to the half way line and didnt bother to join in the sprinting loosener....
Star man yesterday was No 6 Beilik and he had his easiest afternoon of the season, always in space to receive the ball and yet always close to his man when we were in possession.
despite this we were one stupid back heel flick to set their attack off and an unfortunate slip to score the goal....
btw.... i'd 'swap' any of our strikers for their 'sole' striker...
Millar has a minor groin strain and that’s why he wasn’t brought on earlier. Remains to be seen whether yesterday has helped or hindered it but I know from past experience it’s a pesky injury to shake off. I was concerned when I saw the line up yesterday but looking at the bench I’m not sure if there were other options. As others have said though maybe going to a 4 at the back would have been worth considering with Best in at left back for Mawene.
So you respect his opinions, yet suggest he's a fantasist?! 😂or just a fantasist ?? 😉

Top post.I was so angry yesterday but having slept on it it makes you wonder how the hell we are where we are with the depth we have in our squad.
Midfield, yesterday, is what caused us the problems, losing players like Browne, whiteman and then, dare I say it, Ledson too was a step too far. Couple that with Mads having a dip in his form its little wonder that the team completely malfunctioned yesterday. We played a completely untried Youth team player who the game completely passed by, too and his replacement was woodburn!
I thought brady had a good game but, like others when it counted, decision making was awful.
Im not one of the Lowe haters but i feel he isnt exempt from at least some criticism either. His complete obsession with the wing back system needs to be thought through with the squad we have. It was never going to work yesterday and that became obvious within the first few minutes of the game.
Still twists and turns to go in this season and with a fair wind blowing, returning players, who knows what can happen.
Keeping within FFP just how can PNE build better squad depth?

probably the same one...... even the fitness coach was in the centre circle trying to wave him to get a move on, to no avail, and so we started the sprint runs without him.I’ve seen one of our players, presumably the same one, avoid the sprinting warm up before - if he’s not been excused for some reason, someone really needs to be talking to him about it.
I’ve not seen much of either game over the weekend so can’t comment on either performance. I will say it’s harsh to judge Mawene on one game when the two main midfielders are both missing - if he’d been alongside Browne in particular he’d have had more chance. I could climb back on the hobby horse of reserve team football and ask would he have been more ready if he’d played ore or any competitive football in the last few months?
As for the injuries, I was watching a game at weekend, I think it was Newcastle, and one of the analysts said that his experience of clubs with above average number of injuries was that it was normally a sign of something being wrong with the training and/or the medical side. My inkling is that is unlikely to be the case universally but there have been comments about us looking leggy and unfit.
I dont disagree at all.I do agree with what you've said but in relation to Mawene - I think the game passing him by was more a reflection of both teams tactics (mainly ours) then a reflection on him and his performance as Mccann was pretty much redundant as well in the centre of the park.
We're lucky (and simultaneously unlucky) that everyone above us was beaten yesterday, but I can't help feel that it was unfortunately a make or break game.
I usually like to remain optimistic, but I can't see us winning this Saturday either, which potentially opens up an 8 point gap. Though I'd love to be proven wrong! Keep the faith. Hopefully the spirit of the Gentry keep our hopes alive.

dont think he sprinted all 2nd half either 😉
Either Mads or Riis probably, he seems to have a downer on both!!Instead of talking in riddles... who are we talking about here?!!!
Me too.Curious as to who you're on about?
If the rumours are to be believed. Was offered a loan move but it would mean him losing our financially so he told the club to stuff it and is now quietly waiting out his contract.Forget about Bower. What’s with him?

Highlight in bold so that people get that I am not saying that is what happened, merely a rumour
