Can We Get A Top 6 Finish at the end of the Regular Season?

No cos RL is not a championship manager tactically which is why we struggle against the Bottom sides and teams that come at us with a plan…his team selections this season and his subs have also been odd.

Think we're at the point where it's win the next 3 games - unlikely to say the least but it may concentrate minds...

He's been lucky to have 3 exceptional footballers in Miller, Mads and Riis (when he came back), that has got him out of doo doo, because badges or not from just attending courses, he's a tactical pygmy.

Hull, Preston, Coventry, Norwich and West Brom all dropping points today (first 4 losing their games). Incredible really.

Saturday’s games are:

Norwich v Ipswich
Coventry v Leeds
Cardiff v Hull
Watford v North End

Potential for both Norwich and Coventry to drop points Cardiff may cause a surprise.

We HAVE to win. HAVE too. If we don’t it’s definitely game over.

Hull pretty much outplayed Leeds for most of the game who were poor.

Leeds win 3-1 and Hull lost Giles and the captain to muscle injuries.

They actually drop a place on goal difference.

It is as it was this morning.

not a chance, we were done when it was 5 wins in 22 and we didn't pot Lowe at that point, apart from the parachute payments clubs and maybe a couple more most of this division is shit and the fact we were still in with a shout shows it.

I said I thought Lowe had the right plan with putting the remaining games in blocks of three.
I have now changed my mind and reckon the remaining games are all Cup Finals starting with Gentry Day.

Norwich will be the happiest out of all the 6th spot contenders today. Had one of the hardest games in the league, and no one has closed the gap.

Sadly, when you need to gain 6 points, as it was isn't good enough for us. It's a game less to gain points, and today's set of fixtures was a great opportunity for us to gain some ground. We probably now need to win our next 3 to have any chance. Maybe 7 points, but would need to beat Norwich.

Norwich will be pretty happy though. Got probably their hardest game left in the run in out of the way (they have a very good record over Ipswich in the last decade) and no one below made up any ground so they're the big winners today.

Technically, it is in our own hands to go above Norwich - with our game in hand and home match against them to come.
And Coventry have even harder fixtures than us. Technically it feels like sixth place is pretty much in our own hands - despite today’s horror show.

Feeling tenuous though. Our squad is so thin. What’s with Browne? - such a massive miss for us.

Illness wasn't it? Hopefully just the shits.

Can we not just give the manager some credit at least. If he isn’t a championship manager then we wouldn’t be on 59 points with a low budget.

He tactically outclassed Kieran McKenna when Ipswich came to deepdale by playing the high press and forcing them into mistakes.

The fact we struggle against the bottom sides but can beat the better sides shows he has something about him. The issue is consistency. We don’t have the quality of players other sides in the top six have which is why they are a lot more consistent than we are. You’ve named three. West Brom and Norwich probably have about ten of those. The fact that we are even five points away from those sides means that Ryan Lowe isn’t probably as bad as you are making out.

in the end done well this season but can’t see us taking anything from Watford, Norwich or Southampton.

Think 8th 9th or tenth this season.

Probably due to a pretty good first 14 players but not sufficient quality amongst the the back up players in the squad.

Of course you can, its an open forum of differing opinions.
IMO, The guy is a particularly unlikeable character but does so far in his career have been a lucky Manager.
Not sure that's an attribute but better to be tactically basic and lucky than an unlucky tactical genius, i suppose.
