Club Takeover/Investment

If you listen to the interview with Jake, he does actually defend his tenure pretty well but yeah, a fucking shite record. That window of Pavyl Pergyl and Michael Ricketts is enough to make PNE fans shudder.
It is but once again i don’t think the manager should take the blame for that.

The ‘bad apples’ comment and the fall absolutely.
But that summer we sold mears and Davis for about 3-4 million. Then we brought in Chilvers and st ledger. Cheap in comparison. Then mawene got injured. The jan transfer window was a joke considering we were in the play offs at the time.

The season after we sold David nugent for 6 million and his replacements were karl hawley and Andy Carroll (on loan.)

Is it any wonder we have never made the prem when this has been going on for the best part of 20 years. Selling players and failing to replace adequately.

He also spent the best part of a couple of million on Darren Carter and Kevin Nicholls. To be fair, Chilvers and Ledge were decent.

Yep, he says that. He went to Derek, said they needed 1-2 to push on and was told the freebies and OOC players must be the way. So Rickets, Seyfo Soley and Pergyl

Please Ashleigh give us some hope 🙏🏻......christ i even enjoyed the buzz of a possible takeover by Kirchner while it lasted.....with the current set up we are only heading down anyway so I'd sooner take a risk on any new owners within reason.....what bugs me is if Salford.....fucking Salford can attract Beckham and Co why can't we attract likewise???...
I think we all know the answer.....sick off the stale boring lot at Deepdale!!
Imagine dropping that rumour then going AWOL for 24 hours…..

What more can I say?

The offer may have only just gone in? The IOM, Revit, etc may not have even discussed it yet.

As far as I am aware it's all in The Clubs hands now, they will have to start the due diligence and make the accounts available if they decide to begin negotiating.

The Board should make it known to the fans but I'm not sure at what stage they should do that at.

It's all been

With the kircher situation it was public knowledge as they was going into due diligence stage, well that’s what they told the fans at the time if I can remember correctly

It doesn't matter how rich the investors are because they can only sink a set amount into any club due to ffp. I believe clubs like Argyle need to diversify. My favourite down here when I say about it is at present argyle are spending 11 million on a level 2 academy. There are 5 mcdonalds in plymouth and the company that owns them accounts show 2.5 million net profit every year. Now you can't get mcdonalds but a franchise from a group called Jollibee that's coming over from Asia costs 50,000. So for the 11 million you would get 11 places set up bringing in an annual profit based on plymouths mcdonalds figures of 5 million per year. I would of preferred argyle to go down that route prior to the academy as it would of bought in additional revenue quicker and more guaranteed.

Proper weird lot you Plymouth fans.

The point is the revenue from it would assist the running of the club. It would give an additional 5 million per year towards players and wages. I just say jollibee but it could be say the security at the ground starts a security company and it grows to supermarkets and clubs etc.

They can invest varying amounts whilst still being within FFP so having a rich investor willing to exploit all investment avenues into the club is surely the best case scenario for a club.

Other than that first sentence you lost me with the rest of the post.

Yes I know it's not the normality of thinking but if you could purchase say a kkh every season due to the profits where the club has diversified wouldn't you be happy with it especially if the fried chicken is being sold in Blackpool

Someone may have removed the knocker and the door bell.
