There's around 6 one storey brick extensions that have been added on to the original glass structures over the years, these will be getting demolished. All the lighting, power, CCTV, data, fire Alarm, plumbing, heating stripped out back to the incomers(my part of the job). Then all the steel work and glass restored. Around 15 million in total.

'Gis a job.' Circa 1980.

Sat in bed trying to muster an ounce of enthusiasm to take the dog to the groomers... SOMEONE decided 9am on a Saturday was a good time......

In Porto having arrived via a few days in Malta and then Lisbon. Got an SMS warning yesterday of severe storms for today into tomorrow but bright and sunny until 6pm. A truly biblical storm then drowned me on the 15 min walk back to the accommodation. Crossing roads means 15cm of water, much worse if it’s one of the many steep slopes and the drains can’t cope. Back to Lisbon for a couple of nights then flying back, I’m amazed I’m typing this, to better weather in Manchester than I’ve had over the last two weeks. I love Lisbon and Porto, and the prices, but this evening was not good.

You're a real nomad @SF , love it. I remember we had a chat about co-working spaces in Preston, I was in Winckley One Co-Work recently, really nice place.

Seems as though the wife has managed to end up in the Ibis in Reading on business.

No knives available in the ‘restaurant’. She was informed to use the other end of a spoon.

Lots of oddballs, flotsam and jetsam wandering around carrying full Tesco shopping bags.

I’ve advised her to let me book her hotels in future and enquired about the value of her death in service benefits…

Didn’t they have any decent gin?!

Are you not all over Boe Scottish gin? One of my new favourites.
2 of my fav gins are, North Berwick and Harris, but Brockmans with blue label Fever Tree is quite acceptable, we also celebrated Burns night in the Scotsman bar in La Manga, full haggis dinner washed down with a lovely Highland Park

off for a 5 day jaunt to watch Scotland V Wales at the egg chasing, instead of Edinburgh 4 of us are off to Javea to a very nice apartment by the harbour, sports bar to watch the game around some great food and local bevvy, this is at least half the price of 5 days in Edinburgh including flights, apartment, match day tickets, car hire and parking!!!!
