The economy is fucked there I think. It was OK when I visited but our friends are trying to build a house in Patagonia and have to drive miles to get stuff from Chile. They were buying loads of things in Amsterdam when we met up with them last year too.

Yeah, pretty common for Argentinians to buy cars in Chile I’ve heard.

Do you know whereabouts in Patagonia? I would hope it’s closer to the Andes than the east coast!

Ok, I see where you are 👍. Kids sleeping on flattened cardboard boxes on the sidewalks, and bathing, naked, in the streets? it's certainly an eye opening place; wealth on one side of the street and destitution on the other side.

Yep. Got told off by a copper to watch my phone, 2 minutes after leaving the hotel. Hotel is good but seems like it's in a fucking favela.

The San Miguel Pilsner is nice though.

Ha, had that in a fair few countries, always pisses me off. Worst wake up call I had was a random Aussie climbing through my window at 5am, fucked off shrooms in Laos, thinking it was his room, wasn't even his hotel.
