No we don’t bother , only a frenchie , think it’s different with big dogs , they definitely need to get out everyday.

Definitely. Most dogs are fine down to -4 but there is charge available on google.

There is what on Google?

No, I'd hate to have to twat it round the head with a shovel when it slips and breaks a leg.

Ours is a Frenchie as well. He's not a fan of the rain either, so what we'll normally do in bad weather is close the doors so he's contained in the back of the house and chuck him 4 ping pong balls. He'll chase them around until he's tired out. So stupid that he can't work out why he can only get two in his mouth, he'll go for the third drop the lot and the chase begins again. I shut the doors so he can't wander off with them a) so he doesn't choke while I'm not watching him, which I don't think he can, he's never tried swallowing a ping pong ball and b) so he can't put the balls under furniture in other rooms as that just causes more chaos. We buy lots of ping pong balls as you can imagine he goes through quite a few.

That’s funny as ours refuses to go out in the rain too 😄 very funny breed !

To be honest, I forgot that the forum existed. I thought forums were a thing of the past with social media on the scene. It's made some good reading though.

Think this is the other side of the coin. There are quite a few on here who avoid the likes of Twitter and Facebook. Who can blame them.

We've a Frenchie also and it is a very fair weather walker, basically from November - April, she just doesn't want to go on a walk.

Weather like this can be hard enough to shove her out in the garden to do her business.

Quite happy to just play inside with her toys and retire to her bed for a kip.

Our Frenchie is the opposite, loves to get out. Dont get me wrong he doesnt need long walks but does enjoy the outdoors.

PS Frenchies are adorable

There's just been a good lengthy article about dogs on Politics Live (following the death of a dog-walker last week, killed by the 8 dogs she was paid to walk).

Good support for a dog licence... and suggestions that dog owners themselves should have to have training before being allowed to have a dog. That would be an excellent idea. Apparently 34% of homes now have a dog - up from 22% in 2011.

I have a German Shepherd so 100%.

He is not in danger in this weather. It's more the summer when we need to be careful with him.

That being said, I'll take him out on a stroll later and I can guarantee my missus will go 'where's that cat?' meaning the silly twat will fly off and I'll fall flat on my arse whilst he starts barking at the air.

Good stuff.
