Attempted "Dry January" for the very 1st time and I found it an absolute doddle. Last gulp of booze (Stella) was at 1800 on Dec 31st.

Ate the same, zero exercise but I swapped booze for Orange Fanta / Lemon Fanta / Coffee.

The Results!

1st Jan 76.30kg - 168.2lbs - 12st 0.2lbs
1st Feb 73.55kg - 162.1lbs - 11st 8.1lbs

A weight loss of 2.75kg - 6.1lbs.

Lightest I've been for a few years. Always stuck around the 76.5kg mark with visits to the 77kg range quite frequent! I was aiming for the 74kg mark so this result exceeds my expectations.

Saying all that, I've be having a 0.0% Guinness later (that's the only Guinness ASDA had in stock yesterday). Chin Chin.

Onya mate! You gonna get back on the ale now or keep it going?

Well, I've shown through the lack of cravings that I can cut down a lot on what I drink but I'll still drink, just not as much.

Probably keep it to 1 drink after work midweek at most but then sensibly enjoy myself at the weekend.

I'll certainly be watching the scales. It's 1120am and I've still not opened a Can / Bottle as a relief either for late last night at midnight or this morning to chill with after 31 days.

I feel strangely calm about it all, something I wasn't expecting.

Nice one dude, sounds like a good plan. 🙂

Cool you've not gone hell for leather straight back into it after the 31 days.
