If we are concerned about reaching net zero targets by 2050 we need an upturn in renewables investment and design and a tighter control of the resources we currently need and use.Can you honestly say you believe there's any real possibility of a successful UK fracking industry in the face of fierce opposition, climate change targets, relatively low cost of US gas etc?
I'd prefer our public subsidies to be used to support more realistic energy solutions.
Dramatically reducing the need for imported gas by sourcing our own helps and we need to find a way to access it. I agree that 2.9ml tremors are not needed but they are not part of the plan.
The hyperbole and scaremongering around this heavily regulated industry is pathetic. I’ve seen a million times worse in many industries that get a free pass than I have in this industry.
