Frankly not bothered in the slightest about the age as long as they are fit I think they would would make a difference anyway given how bad our strikers have been lately

I don't think John-Jules has played this calendar year with a hamstring injury?

Yes, I know Dapo Mabude is recovering from a car crash but he's on trial and scoring/assisting in games at Dunfermline (or somewhere similar) so I'd get him down for a few sessions at Euxton and see what he's about. Worth a look, and potentially taking a punt on, on our meagre budget.

Lets be honest. Anybody we bring in isn't going to be fit and won't be for a month or two at the very least. Any player we bring in would have not played much football at all since the end of June/July.

It's a waste of a wage. But hey it's PNE and Ridsdale. He's already wasted the majority of the summer budget might as well waste the winter budget on a free signing who no other club wants.

He could still do a job

Idk if people know or it's part of the joke, but this is a fake image, not like he still couldn't dictate play with his passing range, even looking like that 🤣

From what's been said (PH said 'the money's gone') is there anything left in the budget for wages?

Who cares if we find some wages hidden in the couch cushions, the bigger question: Who would actually want to play here? And can't be too much quality out there or they would be signed already right?

Exactly, let’s do it the PNE way. What a shit show of a club, no wonder other clubs fans are pissing themselves laughing at us. It’s bloody criminal how Ridsdale has well and truly run this club down.

a free agent at this time of year is either a belter of a player or we're desperate. Milli will get 5 to 10 games. I'm sure we can cope with Riis and Keane. We only really play one anyway. I suppose this is where when the windows shuts, perhaps the FA should allow efl.clubs to still loan players from prem etc.

Is our youth set up that bad that there is no one who could even have a hint of stepping up and being given a chance?

Most free agents are available for a reason.

PH spoke briefly about our youth set up yesterday and yes our youth set up is apparently that bad.

Most free agents are available for a reason.

Our "better" youth prospects (incuding Best and project Stewart) have been sent back to the Central League/u21 Cup squad where we've conceded eleven goals in the past two games, and the likes of Noah Mawene and Josh Seary can only make occasional starts in League 2 or Northern Ireland.

The best of the rest (Taylor, Nelson, Pasiek, Kamara etc) are Vanarama League North standard at the moment.

Really, so we are not a “well run club” ?

Some might say that that's looking through an Accountant's eyes.
Which tells some of the picture, but not the footballing picture. And if the idea is to not get relegated, then certainly not enough of the picture.
Some might say that Accountants in general have too much influence at many companies.

When a manager that used to be a youth coach and is notorious for promoting youngsters says the kids aren’t good enough it’s time to either fund it or scrap it

It's a good point and the fact he's already distanced himself from being responsible or accountable for the youth setup in any way is just a bit depressing. It puts the main squad even more isolated in an already very small club infrastructure.
