He did that trick the last time and they had a dodgy Nigerian (?) millionaire trying to invest but think he very much like Chris Kirchner. Resulted in a hopeless prem season so have to feel for the Blades fans.

With their fanbase the should be capable of stabilising and kicking on like Brentford and Bournemouth but instead they're just the new Norwich or West Brom to yo yo between the divisions.

b) insist that you’re all in a pub with Sky for the duration of the match

c) persuade the team to relocate their bash to Deepdale hospitality

d) just let the boring bastards get on with the Christmas bash without you?

If the Hemmings really wanted rid they should be on the phone to these Americans asking them if they want to purchase North End instead.

I’m sure there was rumours they were interested in us before they turned their attention to Sheffield United

I went for option a.

Option b wasn't available, no Sky in pub.

Option c wasn't available, because after our meal there was a quiz.

With the benefit of hindsight, I should have gone with option d. Not only did I miss a PNE away win, I was outvoted when I correctly answered the question, 'which American rock band was named after a 1930s fire engine?' That pissed me off no end.
At least I wasn't driving, so I could have a drink.
Without cheating, anyone else know the answer to the question?

To be fair, I didn't know. I was just writing down some likely lads. I started with Run DMC, and progressed to Aerosmith and then REOS. I then thought REOS might be correct, but they settled on Aerosmith, because the lad in control of the paper, had already written it down, and didn't want to cross it out. Unbelievable. One of our team wanted Led Zeppelin, until I pointed out they weren't American.
What a fuck up. No wonder we were joint last, although the competition last night was akin to Champions league standard.
A transfer to another team in January might be my next move. 🙄🤔😀

One of my team colleagues actually said REOS aren't/weren't a rock band, another reason for over ruling me. But the other week we had the question, ' Which POP group caused controversy, by swearing on the Bill Grundy Tonight show in 1976?'
Fortunately, they all agreed with my answer, but the 'pop group' seemed to deceive a lot of people.
Anyway, I'm not bitter, just a bad loser. 😡😡
