The away fixture at Newcastle on Saturday Feb 20 has been declared Gentry Day 2010. PSG together with PNEONLINE will be pulling out all the stops to make this another great day in the PNE fans' calendar. So please get out your bowlers, pinstripes, ties and whatever and lets once again show the rest that we are the best.

Whilst enjoying ourselves on this momentous day lets not forget the reason for doing so, a memorial page will be put up on pneonline soon so that people can add the names of friends from the PNE 'family' who are no longer with us.

Please feel free to add the names of your friends and loved ones and we'll remember them together.

Enquiries have been made and I have been informed that the Newcastle fixture is unlikely to be moved from the Saturday for TV. In the unlikely event that it is moved it would only be moved to the day after - Sunday 21 - as all other matches/dates for that weekend are now confirmed. So it looks like all who have booked a weekender there can now stop worrying 😉

Please keep a eye out on the forum for all things Gentry over the next few weeks, including special Gentry Signatures, Gentry Pictures and stories.

I think that there is going to be a lot of interest in this fixture !!

I have spoken to a few people who dont even go on the home matches, and they are planning to go !

The allocation is 2800 isn't it?

And what's the need to keep away tickets, there all registered on the systems these days. I go pretty much every away game and i bet i still miss out on a ticket because of all the shit fans turning up.

If you go to nearly every away game then you will be registered on the system and get a ticket ahead of the so called 'shit' fans (but i doubt when it comes to it there will be too many of those there anyway). Anyway dont worry about it, I used to worry about getting tickets for away matches but I havent yet failed to get a ticket for a single north end away game. Anyway, the way football is these days I doubt ill really enjoy newcatle away alot more than many other away games, away fans are, ive heard, a quarter of a mile away from the pitch at st james. Obviously ill still be there though 🙂

The last times we had problems with away ticket allocations were last season's play off 2nd leg amd the game at Blackpool.

On both these occasions PNE took no notice of which fans normally travel to away matches. Priority was given to season ticket holders.

Despite going to virtually every away game last season I really struggled to get a ticket for the play off game.

If there is a problem this year I suspect season ticket holders will again get priority.

Would you like to expand on this?

Can you please explain what you mean by a shit fan?

Also you are only registered on the system if you buy away tickets from Deepdale, this does not include anyone who pays on the day, are they shit fans too?

Maybe so, this will be my first away game since Cardiff 2005. 🙂

Incorrect. It was given to season ticket holders with 10 or more away games at first. Then it went those with 9, 8 etc.

I remember there being a big hoo-haa about it at the time.

If they do that this time I've no chance. Hardly been away this season for one reason or another. Nice to see I'm lumped in with the other shit fans though!! 😀

Are you sure?

I struggled getting my ticket for the second leg at Brammall Lane, despite being a season ticket holder and attending over ten away games.

I racked up £75 on calls to the ticket office. 😡

I remember that being the case with the Lashers game 2 seasons ago but don't remember that being the case for the Sheff Utd game.

Me thinks this could actually be the one game where some people wanting a ticket might actually miss out. Maybe they should do an eye test on the door because you're sat miles from the pitch!

Season ticket holders are getting top priority for Newcastle. 😉

I just love this, priority for ST holders to pick their one and only away match (well maybe two if you count the Lashers) it stinks, but then again do the club place any value at all on the fans who fork out their hard earned to support the team all over the country, do they even care, I doubt it, pander to the whim of the ST holder who might just take in one or two away matches and will of course demand extra tickets for their "friends"
The away fans who "pay on the day" may not be registered with the club their support is fantastic, do the club recognise this?????????

Fickle PNE fans will be wanking themselves silly over getting tickets for the "big" cup games bringing all and bloody sundry who never ever attend because they are ST holders, they will demand tickets for every fucker if we reach the pay off's or better and demand a ticket to go to Newcastle or Blackpool, wankers the fuckin lot of them, will you see these fuckers on a wet Tuesday night at Peterborough, will you fuck, fans who attend away matches and keep their stubs should have as much right to away tickets as the twattish ST holders who demand tickets for the "big" games.

Season ticket holders deserve to get priority over everyone else because they pay their money in advance when the club needs it most. That deserves incentives.

In my case, I've had a season ticket for 20-odd years, if I want to go on one away match in five years that's tough shit I'm afraid.

Newcastle - bring it on!! 🙂

In an ideal world North End would have some sort of loyalty scheme where points are earned for games attended - for example buy a season ticket and get 25 points, Blackpool away 1 point, Plymouth away 10 points and so on, this way the most loyal would be rewarded. However, due to the size of club and the fact that demand very rarely outstrips supply it would be pretty pointless introducing a scheme like this, although I would love to see what would happen if we ever reached the Premier League.

I do think though that this could be the first time in a long time when some people will be left disappointed as I think demand may well outstrip supply.

Bill whilst I can understand your frustration and anger, the club have to leave advantages to being a season ticket holder because the club need the large amount of cash flow in a short space of time. Tickets do get cheaper during the season if attendances are down and so one advantage disappears with that. There has to be incentives.

Being brutally honest I believed Derek was exagerating about season ticket holders getting cheesed off with too many offers on cheap tickets throughout the season, then, I heard people around me talking about why they should not bother buying their season tickets because there was no advantages when the BOGOF offer was on.

The simple answer is, buy a season ticket😱
