[h=2]Gentry day season 2015/16[/h]
Following consultations with both clubs and with both police forces the decision was made that Gentry Day would be at BOLTON on Saturday March 12th 2016. It's been a little kept secret for some time now but at last it can be made public.

The decision was made more difficult this season due to the fixtures, we know that Bolton will not be popular with everyone but dates rule and March 12th is just about the right time of year. We sincerely hope that everyone will have a brilliant trouble free day remembering the reason for it.

We have had some complaints about drunkeness especially last season at Barnsley and would ask people to try to control themselves a little in that respect. Saying that we at PSG are known for trying a pint or two on the day.

Please enjoy and respect the day for what it is - PRESTON FANS ARE THE BEST THEY'RE THE GENTRY

Good choice.

Suggestions of Ipswich, Cardiff and Reading were ridiculous, and would have seen disappointingly low numbers.

Ipswich - far too far away for most fans and away supporters are not allowed into town centre pubs at Ipswich, apart from the one designated and that's crap, so no chance. Cardiff - absolutely a non starter would have been asking for trouble in the first degree, the police would not allow it anyway. Reading - someone reckoned that there was nothing near to Boltons ground (pubs etc) have they ever been to Reading ?

Shame there is absolutely fuck all around Horwich's ground.

exactly... I am not criticisng the organisers, but this must not have been taken into consideration..

There is only one pub on middlebrook and that is for home fans only...

I think that the Beehive ( which is about 15/20 minutes walk away ) is given up to away fans...

Having said that, i will be going - i will have several pints in Euxton, then jump on the 14:16 train from Buckshaw to Horwich ( it only takes 11 minutes )

Well I will definitely be going. I don't even drink but gentry day is brilliant, even sober! I think it's a damn good choice it gives more people the opportunity to attend.

Plenty of choice if you look for it. Chorley ain't that far away or you could even have a few locally in Preston prior to leaving. That's probably what the PSG coachful will be doing. But there again we only organize the venue not the pubs, pretty sure folk will sort themselves out.

Yeah, i'm probably just going to drink in Preston then hop on the train as late as possible.

I reckon we will take a shitload if given the allocation.

Normally I hold my tongue when it comes to gentry day as i do respect PSG for donating there time to organise it but Bolton is absolutely awful. It's going to be a nightmare to get there as the trains will be packed and there's nothing round the ground.

Ah well, I'll be there regardless.
