Gentry Day 2015/16 - Bolton 12/03/16 (Confirmed)

Perhaps we might publicly appeal to all fans to behave appropriately on the day. It would be a shame to see it ruined and perhaps prevented* for future seasons if some of the two-pint pisspots start acting like twelve year olds!

(I can think of a number of events this has happened to in the past)*

12.00 might help with that?

They are idiots who follow us around no matter how close or far away we are.

There was fighting last Gentry Day outside the train station after the match at Barnsley.

Just because it's a close Gentry Day this time doesn't necessarily mean they'll be any more or less trouble.

Twice as many people there against local rivals, its going to make Barnsley look like handbags!

Just had a further look into the drinking options in Horwich and these two are worth a look. Bank top Brewery, The ale house Church street, and a micro brewery with a bar attached called Blackedge based on Hampson Street

Chorley police have cracked down on visiting fans visiting the town centre 8pubs, plenty trouble with Sunderland,Newcastle both Sheffield clubs and more recently FC united

Chorley is my local town (live in euxton) they cant stop me ha! Plus i dont wear colours on away days so shouldnt be a problem.

i didnt see any fighting just had to push my way through a load of rowdy Barnsley teenagers. i got jostled around a bit as i could hardly blend in wearing suit and bowler. from what i saw its was just a load of shouting and verbal diarrhea with no real violence. although the muppet who tried nicking my hat did accidentally lose his footing

Anyone previously got a taxi to Boltons ground from Bolton centre. If so what's approx cost.was thinking of drinking in Bolton town centre.
cheers

Get the train to Blackrod and have a few in The Rivington, or if you want to go further there is the one on the A6 that has been done up recently can't remember the name even though I drove past it for years!

A few points here.
1. Gentry Day was re introduced to be about remembering the dearly departed PNE fans.
2. Surely Bolton is an excellent choice for an away Gentry Day because of how easy it is to get to. This surely has to be the main consideration.
Trains and buses to Horwich are dead easy. I even know a few people who are cycling it down the A6. There in no time.
3. Can PNE fans not get their missus or someone to drop them off? She gets to do a day shopping in peace at Middlebrook, and he gets to only worry about how to get home (unless missus hangs around to pick him up).
Sharing a taxi back from Horwich would only be about 30 quid which aint bad between say 4 of you.
