The away match at Middlesbrough on Saturday 18th April 2023 has been voted as the date for this years annual Gentry Day.

Whilst our supporters are enjoying themselves on the day it is right to remember what Gentry Day is all about, which is remembering members of the North End & Preston community who are no longer with us.

The football club have put on subsidised coaches to help as many of our fans to attend as possible.

Once again PNE-Online are proud to support Gentry Day and as ever we invite you to post tributes and dedications for people you would wish to be remembered by the Preston North End supporters on Gentry Day at The Riverside.

Feel free to post as much or little detail as you like.

Those donning their bowlers in the North East will do so in their memory.

My Grandad, George Peter Briggs (always went by Peter).

He followed North End all over the country for the majority of his life and was the reason I ended up doing the same (cheers for that!)

He even ended up having a heart attack on the terraces at Mansfield in the 80’s before driving home and having a quadruple heart bypass a couple of days later!

My dad left us in November, he was a North Ender for 70+ years, season ticket holder as long as I can remember, I miss him like mad and will be remembering him at Boro tomorrow.
The first away I remember him taking me to was at Fulham in 1971 when Alan Ball was manager, his last away game was at Wigan at the start of this season, lots of ups and downs between. RIP Dad

Never been to Preston myself, but Lilywhite blood runs through my veins if you will. I would like to remember my cousin who sadly passed away a couple of months ago due to a drug overdose. Had just recently started training to be a welder and was doing good, but the drugs got him in the end.

RIP. The family still thinks of you every day💙
