Been given a remit of finding a holiday for me and the Mrs for her birthday. Remit consists of white beach, blue sea, hot, hotel on beach.

Booked Mexico, done dusted, then after she’s done her research, the beaches are washed with seaweed , and they’ve now banned smoking in public places which is a no go.

She doesn’t want Spain/Majorca etc, isn’t a fan of Greece. I keep looking at Dominican Republic and Cuba (it’s in budget, white beach, blue sea) but read it’s Hurricane season hence it’s so cheap.

Budget of 3 grand give or take a few hundred quid, I don’t want to go into the travel agents to change the holiday with no idea where to go, it’s her birthday present from me and I’m messing it up.

Please help. I Google it, it just comes up holiday sites no actual information. I just need a location, I’ll let TUI do the rest.

I’ve heard the Maldives are meant to be nice. What about Cuba heard good stuff about the place wether the sands are white I have no idea
sorry seen your comment on Cuba, Hawaii? Argentina or Chile?

Genuinely looked into all them and keep reading Hurricane season, or find somewhere and TUI don’t go there. Has to be TUI (booked Mexico with them)

Essentially Maldives with a budget of Blackpool

Cape Verde or Gambia
Cape Verde will be mid hurricane season when we go. Debating risking it at this point.

Genuinely settled on Cuba. Then found they had Hurricane Ian other year on the same dates we need to go.

One of the nicest beaches I have been on (not widely travelled) was Jandia on Fuertaventura I know a lass who loves the whole of Costa calma there, we visited Jandia and I thought the beach was lovely, In parts it reminded me of the beach on the pirates of the Caribbean (worlds end?)

Hurricane season is just a gamble on probability, still a low chance you will be affected.

Do TUI cover Aruba? That has a much lower hurricane risk from memory for various geographical reasons

Also what about west coast Mexico do they still offer that area(been a while since we had the luxury of doing long haul)?

Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago also might be more out of the riskier area. Sorry looking at TUI to see what they offer

Thanks for your help, same to all. Just been flicking through, both out of our price range sadly.

Decided to fuck it off, just going to go into to TUI at some point this weekend and basically give them the requirements and see what they come back to me with.

Think I’m going to gamble on a ‘hurricane’ country.

Currently booked to Mexico, but they’ve banned all smoking in public places, only place you can smoke is a designated smoking area on the complex.
Apparently quite strict with it as well. I’m a smoker, and this holiday would just stress me out not relax me, hence the change .

Have you looked at Malta? Golden Bay is stunning or if you go to the smaller islands of Comino and Gozo you'll find some stunning unspoilt beaches.
