I wonder if it's a case of the irresistible force against the immovable object.

EFL says we must see the individual names. Conway Trust says we're wrapped in legal structure and won't/can't reveal them.

So who prevails?

At the moment it's the club.

And EFL have already said they're satisfied.

Next step?

See post 193.

The Law prevails.

If that's the case - and it may well be - then the club simply has to say so on its company details page, and the EFL simply has to say so when asked.

All parties simply have to admit that some football fans - specifically PNE fans - are not allowed to know who owns and controls their football club, and that in such cases EFL regulation 114 does not apply, because it cannot be enforced.

Not gaslight people that "look, we have disclosed who owns your club - didn't you see the name of the dead guy we mentioned three times?"

When you mentioned, over the weekend, about Peter Ridsdale being paid by Hemway Limited (who then recharge the Club), I looked them up on the Companies House website.

The persons with significant control are Kathryn Revitt and Michael Robert Jelski. The latter seems to have replaced the older Robert A.E. Jelski in 2023. Possibly the son succeeding the father? Both are IoM lawyers. I wonder if the same has happened with the Conway Trust?

They are also the 2 people with significant control of Deepdale (PNE) Holdings Ltd, i.e. Preston North End - but yunno, the club and the EFL don't want to admit that for some reason:

Yes, precisely. Hence my posts highlighting why it's not just as simple as "club = bad people, hiding stuff simply for the sake of it."

I'm sure the trust and its surrounding law will trump any EFL regulations.

Although of course the EFL could throw us out of the league for non-compliance, but I'm pretty sure this has all been discussed in the bowls of EFL HQ, hence the email saying they're satisfied.

I honestly don't see this as a stick to beat them with. (Plenty of other stuff, absolutely.)

They are launching a bullshit Fan Advisory Network scheme in the name of tick-boxing their EFL obligations to Fan Engagement, while simultaneously fobbing fans off when they want to "engage" and know the most basic information, also as mandated by EFL regulations - who owns and controls the club. Not who used to control it. Who controls it now.

It's all of a piece - we have a secretive, controlling club, posing as an open, engaging club.

Devils advocate, but if the owners decided to promote Ridsdale to something like CEO or COO or something, and then have him as the overall boss of a new Director of Football and Head of Recruitment who signs off their decisions, would people be okay with that?
Still no.

I can't imagine either of those roles operating without interference from someone who's made it their life's work to have their finger in as many pies as possible.

No.

I would welcome, and respect, a retirement.

But as per the EFL handbook, I'm now hoping for a "majority vote, mental or physical impairment, or death" now. Anything to get rid of the parasite.

I haven't liked this post because I'm okay, but because it's what I expect to happen...

Right. The f**k EVEN wanted to be put-forward as the Conservative candidate for the 'Morecambe & Lunesdale' Parliamentary Constituency prior to one Election. They didn't entertain his application....

If anyone thinks we genuinely can't do better than Peter Ridsdale, we've been in this division for about a decade and our commercial income was lower than Blackpool's

That's particularly damning to look at.

What are the excuses for this? We have better attendances than some of those above us. Teams that have never been in the Premier League are above us, in fact, Bristol City are top of the pile. Teams that have come up from League 1 since we've been in the division are above us.

I'm really interested to know why the club just accept this.

That's appalling. Well done Peter.

Which has got me thinking, I'd love to see a dashboard of public KPIs we can measure him against for his different areas of interest.

Income generated from player sales, total player trading profit, fan happiness etc. I bet we'd be adrift at the bottom in a lot of them. Wouldn't take long to build a damning case.

According to the Club Comment, you have to add a random £3m onto our pathetic commercial income when comparing with other clubs, because we outsource everything, giving other companies all the turnover.

Yep. Such a smart and innovative move.

We lead - others follow.

It’s also worth noting that Bristol undertake a lot more in-house activity, including kit supply.

I have also been to an international business event hosted at Ashton Gate, very professional way ahead of us.
