100%

I'm also sure I've read somewhere that Israel had something to do with the creation of Hamas. Although my knowledge on that claim is hazy. it would make a lot of sense to me if true.
Not sure about that and am cooking so no time to check - although Netanyahu did support them because he saw it as a way to block the two state solution.

Spinach pie 😀

Hamas killed innocent people, wrong, wrong and evil. Terrorism plain and simple.

Israel has lilled and is continuing to kill even more innocent people. Wrong wrong and evil. A terrorist state.
Where and when does this all stop though?
I'm genuinely worried that we have a weak spineless government now in charge that will accept an influx of angry Palestinians who see uk as an Israel allie. Then we become victims . It's how ISIS was formed , because of Blair amd his and Bush agenda of Iraq. We're complicit to a degree. Starter is weak, he can't defend the Israel action or condemn it, he's not a.natural leader. We could well see terrorism on our streets very soon imo,,,,, again.

We do have a bit of an Anti-terrorist / Secret Service thing going , though. That's ok against any sorta organised 'cell' thing going, but it's a lot harder to spot these Loners or Loner-and-his-Brother ( Manchester Arena'17)
Always will be.

Jury is out on Starmer as PM. But wouldn’t you agree that the last 4 Conservative PMs, and their cabinets, have been the very definition of weak?

Implementing (or proposing) policies that grab headlines in the supportive press, and that create a load of tough soundbites - that’s not strength and we can all see the results in out REAL, complicated world. We have been weak as piss.

Now the right of the Tory Party and Farage/Tice’s Reform Limited are trying to persuade us that we need even more of those failed policies.
There probably isn’t a “right” answer for all this - just a least-worst one. Good luck to Starmer in wading through this.

A final point on that. Farage and Sunak were millionaire bankers/hedge fund managers.
Johnson was an Eton-educated buffoon whose integrity was perhaps best characterised by him choosing to back “Leave” (the biggest constitutional issue of our times) based on which path would best serve his wish to become prime minister. That - and the way lies just rolled off his tongue so easily.
Goodness knows what Truss was. Cameron was probably the last reasonably serious PM - though I I disagreed with rather a lot that he did.
Now Starmer comes along. He has a lot to do to earn my full trust. But I do think his CV - eg having been Director of Public Prosecutions for an extended period - they indicate a gravity that has been sadly missing for far far too long. To brand him as weak is reactionary, imo. Definitely worth giving him time.

Why hasnt he announced that we will pause sending weapons to Israel rather than announcing we will help finance clearing the mess that thos weapons cause?

I guess Putin will be next?
Don't be silly. peace can never be discussed with Putin. Its not allowed. Only more war can be discussed. War is the only solution. Boris and all the others have told us that.

Oh, but if you do want to discuss peace at a summit or something make sure that only one side is invited to attend.

I’m not a fan, but will give him that time.
