Perhaps. But I still think the US would have no choice but to muzzle their attack dog. War with Iran means losing Ukraine and possibly even Taiwan. It wouldn't be a stroll in the park like Iraq or Afghanistan, far more like Korea or Vietnam surrounded by unfriendly, unreliable or outright hostile countries and organisations. Iran is a near-peer oponent with hypersonic missiles, some of most sophisticated and mass produced drone warfare in the world, and, perhaps most importantly, the ability to manufacture nuclear warheads at very short notice. I highly doubt the American people have the stomach to deal with the amount of casualties they'd suffer. The Pentagon knows all this, and will reign in Israel before it comes to it.
And as Sepp says, a lot hinges on the Saudis. The last thing they'll want is war with Iran, and with Russia out of the picture indefinitely, OPEC has the West by the short and curlies. Gas prices would grind the global economy to a halt.
