Hate to break it to you Roy, but we won, are you sure you watched the right game? 😁
What? We actually won the play-offs in Cardiff?!
I know I was biblically pissed that day but how have I missed that...????

I know two hammers personally. Both smashing and down to earth lads. Stereotyping fans by what team they support is ludicrous.
My daughter in law, my nephew and quite a few friends are West Ham fans and all of them lovely.I know two hammers personally. Both smashing and down to earth lads. Stereotyping fans by what team they support is ludicrous.
Agree, after that game, lots of their fans consoled me and my son. Not Alf Garnett types at all.I know two hammers personally. Both smashing and down to earth lads. Stereotyping fans by what team they support is ludicrous.
Not Alf Garnett types at all.
Trouble with west ham is ——they are west ham - plus they nicked the ground that by rights should have been Leyton orients.Problem with West Ham is they think they're bigger than they are
Same happened to me Roy…..Me and my wife were travelling to London following the defeat at Cardiff. We stopped at a service area along the way. Oh boy, what a bunch of tossers they were. Gave us a load of aggressive ner, ner, n ner, ner type of grief. Not very gracious in victory at all. I have disliked them with a passion ever since.
Wow, after the game we travelled to London and had the total opposite experience, very respectful and consoling and we must have seen about 50 of them and not one nasty or rude.Same happened to me Roy…..
Outside the ground and some cocky bastard came right up to my face and said “ I hope you enjoyed your day out , ya Northern wanker !! “
I already hated them , but my hate intensified after that incident…….
Alf Garnett as a character was supposed to be the one you were laughing at, written deliberately that way. I remember Marigold (I think that was his name) always getting the better of him in the later series - the actor who played him is now a major star in America incidentally.Alf Garnett is a much maligned character - he was opinionated but not otherwise more objectionable than a lot of supposedly more refined individuals. But the actor who played him - actually a North London Arsenal supporter - was an unpleasant piece of work.
I guess every club has good and bad fans Joan, maybe I got unlucky !!!Wow, after the game we travelled to London and had the total opposite experience, very respectful and consoling and we must have seen about 50 of them and not one nasty or rude.

Russell Brand, Rylan Neal , Danny Dyer and James Corden , say no more……I'm pleased for you Joan, unfortunately, we had the opposite experience. I know every club has it's unsavoury element and I'm not labelling them all with the same "tag", it's just very difficult to like the club after such an unpleasant episode.
Or maybe after 10 times of listening to your hat- trick story they just got pissed off . 😱😂👍I guess every club has good and bad fans Joan, maybe I got unlucky !!!
I’m thinking of retiring my hat trick story Lenny…… it rarely gets positive reactions these days !!!Or maybe after 10 times of listening to your hat- trick story they just got pissed off . 😱😂👍
I know Roy and I agree and I’m sorry you and Ando had the experiences you did. I wish you had met those West Ham fans and friends I know instead of the brain dead element you both encountered.I'm pleased for you Joan, unfortunately, we had the opposite experience. Absolutely they do. The worst encounter I ever had was with Wigan fans.I guess every club has good and bad fans Joan, maybe I got unlucky !!!
Just going off my own experience on the day is NOT stereotyping. I accept there are good West Ham supporters but the ones I met were not.I know two hammers personally. Both smashing and down to earth lads. Stereotyping fans by what team they support is ludicrous.
I used to work on a building site in Wigan many years ago, Joan. They really do hate us. Can't prove it, but I think it was them who christened us 'nob end' which when I first heard it, knew it would stick (because it's such a fiendishly simple/clever p*ss take) the bar stewards.Absolutely they do. The worst encounter I ever had was with Wigan fans.
