But if we approached recruitment with “I’d keep him, because the replacement could be worse” then we’d just give everyone a new contract.

Yeah, our new keeper could be crap, but Woodman is already shite and costing us goals pretty regularly. Needs to leave. Unlike Riis, who I’d also want to stay, but like you say it seems likely he’ll be off.

Yeah, I don't have as big a downer on Woodman as a lot of people. And ranking him along with the other OoC players, I think it's obvious he's one of the 2 better ones. But maybe we already know he won't be sticking around, since we're supposedly already looking at goalkeepers.

Billionaire owners too hey, Ridsdale has waisted millions of the owners money yet still remains in a job, unbelievable!!....what's the point!.....the owners only keep us going for their own tax reasons imo from their other many company's....it's like we are being held hostage almost....and why they are so determined to keep hold of us and fend off any investors/takeover despite having to pump in circa 12 million a year.....it doesn't make sense apart from that.....they are greedy business men and nothing more, football is coincidental to them......
so frustrating!!! Please show more intent or piss off and sell us!

Are you suggesting the Hemmings family are financially benefiting from the money they're having to put into PNE?
 
We don’t get enough incoming transfers right, and the best way to suit our needs is probably to sign young players on loan with a view to buying, similar to what we’re doing with Greenwood.

Does he not mean loan till end of season with purchase in place?
That’s what was rumoured about the Honduran lad. It’s how Burnley have signed Zian Flemming on loan and purchase in summer.

Well, we certainly aren't going up but it's far too early to say we're safe.

The owners do benefit from group tax relief, but it's only about £3.5m a year.

The owners get most of their tax breaks from being domiciled in an offshore tax haven.

But he says the 3 players are "to arrive in the summer". They are surely pre-contract deals for players who are 6 months from being out-of-contract?
