Well done sleepy Pete
Yet another poor management decision holding us back. 🙄
Well done sleepy Pete
I’m sure that taking a 35-year old injury prone striker who hasn’t played in 9 months is going to fix our goalscoring issue. Can we send bowler back in January and take ched off the playing staff and would it help bring in new faces in January

Never said it would but it would free up space .

I don't think we know for sure whether we can send Bowler back without Forest's consent. I thought it was pretty standard to have a January break clause for either party in a loan deal, but others have pointed out it may not necessarily be so.
And I think it's been mentioned earlier on this thread that our wage contribution to Bowler is minimal, so it wouldn't free up a lot of wage space anyway.
As well as getting KHH back on the right.
We need to try and find the next Cannon or Archer in January, we can't keep controlling games, playing well but not winning.
Not sure if the budget is there though.
Think I'm in the minority with this one, but I think Riis is just the better player. But like you say, LWB of at least decent ability will unlock a lot for us going forwardWill only get in another CF if Riis leaves in January surely?
Probably not a good sign for Osmajic that he's been available for a couple of weeks and not seen that many minutes but ultimately he still cost this club a significant fee so needs to be used regularly. If not perhaps he moves on in the next six months. Keane also contracted until summer 2026.
What is needed is a player signed so KHH starts all the games on the right side, it would make a huge difference to have two pacy threats on both sides of the pitch.
If we got the players in whereby we could play a back 4 then Bowler or Okkels would be available to play more. I just don’t see where they fit in a side playing a back 3.
Yep. And I think that is where Hecky wants to take us. Just hope to God that the fat twat that has been holding us back for years allows Hecky to bring in the defenders needed in January.
Might be a case of us having to find a club to take over his loan agreement if we want to offload - sure that's been the case before.I don't think we know for sure whether we can send Bowler back without Forest's consent. We must get a LWB in January without a shadow of a doubt and get KKH in his natural position in the right.
We do not need a new striker in January - we need to augment the team in a way that provides our sometimes flat-footed defence with more mobility and our current strikers with more chances. That means at the least a mobile left-sided defender and a left wing-back maybe a young Prem loanee which would mean Kesler-Hayden could switch to the right.
Depends if we decide to sell Riis if a contract isn’t agreed upon, if we offer one that is.
Riis has shown in both the last couple of matches why we need to offer him a new contract.
Can you see him signing on if offered? I can’t.
If I was him I’d be eyeing up the opportunity to agree a deal with a European club come January.
Which is another terrific mismanagement of contracts on a good sellable asset for the club by Peter.
Hecky mentioned he wanted the club to be smart within ‘player trading’ and showing by our recent accounts, I don’t think 0.4M in player sales is really going to cut it if we are wanting to reinvest in the infrastructure and the playing squad.
But seemingly the family think Pete is doing a decent enough job, so I’m losing sympathy for them more and more with each passing year when they have to cough up another 8 figures to keep us afloat.
He's already said that he'd be interested in signing, but that the club hadn't made any offer yet.
