One other comment that stood out to me in the Riddler interview. "He [Heckingbottom] is more 'pre-planned' than any other manager we've had, in the sense he's already looking to the summer recruitment".

Not the verbatim quote, but that's effectively what was said. I don't understand why it took Paul Heckingbottom to come on board for this to happen. Surely that's what we should have been doing for a long time now? It's no wonder we struggle in transfer windows if no one thought to do any transfer preparation beyond the present window.

It's amazing what you can do when you think more than one window ahead. It's amazing that Ridsdale has never realised this before. Ridsdale makes me feel like a broken record but this is why you don't build everything around the manager. Managers generally don't think long term. We're lucky we've appointed someone who is thinking long term. I'm genuinely bewildered that thinking more than one step ahead is something new to Ridsdale.

He's definitely better just behind the striker, rather than wider but for me he's too lightweight and easily knocked off the ball. He does have a moment in him but as has been said, he's inconsistent, even within games.

With our limited resources, I certainly wouldn't break the bank for him - either in terms of fee or wages.

Yep hes wasted on the wing for sure.
 
Absolute dog shit interview, I don't know how people still fall for it and claim it as a good interview.

We sign players for the club not the manager, but we allow the manager to decide on all the contract renewals.

Okells transfer reads like a car crash.

Proud of himself for getting Bowler out after being our top earner for 6 months without a termination clause.

Please, for the love of God, retire.

I've had enough of hearing about how Los Angeles smells of weed, the Ty Dolan guessing game (is it Lewis Travis?), crisps and the more of the utter nonsense that has been posted in that thread over the last 4 months.

Give it until atleast March, I beg!

It also gives @Sedge_Fan a nice break from the pack of Wolves attacking him with questions every time he logs on.

Completely agree that Segde deserves a nice rest! Doing great work and still getting pestered beyond belief 😅 I’ll just have to chill in other threads until March then😂
 
Greenwood has great potential he needs wanting and nurturing along. 10x the footballer Rhys is and a million times better than Hugill was and people raved about him. He was never a footballer while I had a hole in my A£#@
