Leagues 1, 2, National League and below.

Agreed. Saw a few seconds of him on the highlights the other night which was enough for me to see he’s got plenty about him. Stuck the pen away very nicely too.
He's pretty quick, strong, not afraid to shoot. He played as a lone striker when I saw him, very impressed, definitely one to watch. His team mate Adam Mayor isn't bad either, 18 years old, left winger. His strengths: takes players on, not shy of a tackle, quick and will have a shot from distance. Very one footed from what I saw though, and his crossing was erratic.

Nice win for Charnock Richard against Bury in the FA Cup, same division but that’s about the only thing they’re level in.

Wrexham have always been a proper football club with superb fans, we had several years of competing at similar levels and several great away days there. The community focus from the ownership is absolutely spot on and they’re doing things exactly right on the whole. I honestly don’t understand the dislike.
My lad is "running the line" for the Charnock Richard v Bury league game this BH Monday.... Think I'll go & watch. Will be interesting to see how many Bury take to Charnock Richard & how the facilities there will cope with what should be a sizable support?

The cup game was a sellout at the weekend, about 1,500 I think. Bury probably had 1,200 there.

Will be interesting to see how many Bury get on tonight against Kendal. 5,000+ for the league opener but can’t see them sustaining anything near that.

Cheers BPIG.... Decent following that. Do wonder how the parking etc coped down the lane at Charnock? It's decent set up there but..... ? Looking forward to the game now... Best check with the lad that we will actually be able to get on

Might do, they have just got their club back from the jaws of extinction.

North West Counties Prem, same league as Bury. They actually finished 2nd bottom last season but got a reprieve due to some league restructuring.
Just had a look at their website, they have certainly had some ups and downs. I see Mike Marsh managed them for a short while.
I bet the away trip to the isle of Man FC is worth a weekend away!!
I get confused with the many changes to the Football pyramid but thought that Kendal played at a higher level.
Poor Skem right down at the bottom, they had a great Team a long time ago with 2 or 3 who went on to play for Liverpool and a couple more to other League Teams. Got to the amateur Cup Final, which was a big thing then.
Used to go the Martin Inn @ Burscough a long time ago - it was the 'in place', memories eh!!!
Hope your Brother does well there.

Bit surprised to see how far Sonny have fallen. Solid club in recent years.

Donny did get relegated once before to the 'Conference' early 2000's i think and got back into EFL. Darren Ferguson managed them for a while. Whilst a solid Club they have mainly been a bottom 2 Division Club i think, from memory and without doing any research, during my almost 70 years on the Planet.
These are the sort of Clubs that need to be proper 'community' clubs.

In my case the dislike is probably jealousy if I'm honest, but I don't like the Hollywood bullshit.

They got lucky, we didn't, same old story.

Bit of a cliche but at the end of the Day, it remains to be seen whether they can fund the Club at anything like Championship level, should they even be able to attain that level.
It's relatively easy for investors with decent money to rise through the lower levels, however once they get to the levels where others have similar funds, its not quite as easy.
It remains to be seen how 'lucky' they got over us. Through our vilified owners we do have reasonably significant investment over and above our natural turnover. It may not satisfy most of us, but that is a fact.

Thing is though, they've got massive sponsorship deals through the Hollywood connections, so it's not just the owners money, it's their influence and the money that brings in. That might not be enough if they reach the Championship. Time will tell...

Yep, and that will take them so far-
As you say, time will tell, as to just how far.
I expect them to at least achieve League 1, however if they don't continue to 'evolve' quickly, then how long will the potential sponsors stay on board - Americans (USA ones) have relatively short attention spans.

2015 PNE vs Chesterfield. Play Off semi finals.
We win, get to Wembley and the rest is history.
We're now an established Championship side and Chesterfield are currently behind vs Hartlepool in the National League.
Funny old game.
Very true….

You could go back to 1985/6 ( re-election season ) …

We lost our last game of that season 4-0 against Aldershot….

Look where they are now …. Just gone 1-0 down against Eastleigh !!

Going even further back, 1980s, and a trip to Saltergate usually ended in defeat. I remember one visit there that ended in victory, Tony Ellis smashed one in via the underside of the crossbar, from about 25 yards.

Actually talking about Aldershot v Eastleigh, Aldershot have just had their keeper sent off and they didn’t have a replacement Keeper on the bench….

Instead the substitute striker has come on to go in the nets..
