I'm pretty sure they will give it to a woman - so Alex Scott probably gets the gig.
No-one should ever be paid the ridiculous amounts Lineker was by a state broadcaster for a 10.30pm slot, but has the standard been set? Should Alex Scott be paid the same amount and would/ could she claim sex discrimination if she wasn't?

Nobody forces you to pay the TV licence, I know many who choose not to.
Anyone who knows alex will knoiw thats not and never has been her style.

If she does, I'll never watch it again. That woke bell end Lineker was bad enough but Alex Scott...

She's not a very good host though. In fact, I think its quite tedious listening to her.
This isn't me being misogynistic either as I think Kelly Cates is an excellent host over on Sky.

Oh I agree, personally I would try to tempt Gary Neville away from Sky.

Match of the Day is primarily about the Premier League. Therefore presenters and pundits, in my opinion, should have had experience playing in that league.

Not sure I completely agree. Though Lineker was an excellent host. So too was Des Lynam, who to my knowledge, never kicked a ball in anger. Neither has Mark Chapman. Sometimes excellent presenting skills coupled with a good unerstanding/love for football puts you at the head of the queue

He was a good host until he started allowing his politics to bleed through into his job. A privileged job with an enormous unwarranted salary that was absolutely supposed to be impartial.
He spoke about politics on MOTD?

Not watched MOTD for many years but as far as I know he never mentioned politics on the show?
Is he not entitled to an opinion?
