Manchester Airport

I was thinking the same myself, it shouldn't take this long surely
As with my point above, it might take some time for them to build a case and gather together all the evidence. It has been less than a month and the police have passed the files to the prosecutors - they will now decide how it proceeds.

Its obviously quite complicated with their being so many counter claims.

Im guessing theres a lot of CCTV evidence that make this case not quite as clear cut as we saw in the recent riots.
Deep, deep down. Do you think you’d feel the same if they were shaven headed, red in the face and returning from Benidorm on a Stag do?

You don’t need to answer. I’m just asking people to think.

So youre saying I havent thought this through?

Lets look at this logically.

Guys dont just suddenly, out of the blue go into a massive rage with the Police, especially in an airport setting.

There are videos, on this thread, of earlier in the incident with accusations that others that were involved in hurting the guys mother were just let go free by the Police whilst they concentrated only on the group who were with the woman whod been, "Allegedly," attacked.

There will be video footage of what happened throughout the incident, not just the ones that have been made available so far.

So.............. I will maintain the stance I had right from the when this first came out. I will continue to wait and see how it all pans out once all the evidence and information has been gathered. It seems that is now quuite close as all the info has now been handed over the DPP.

However, if its easier for you think its 2 tier policing then thats entirely your prerogative.

That incident most certainly does not come under the heading of two tier policing 😀

Three incidents reported before the police arrive.
Video evidence shows them being the first to physically assault the police.
Armed police.

Like you, I’ll wait.

If they get this wrong then those riots in July will seem like a skirmish over some spilt pints.

They are more than likely to get it right, but will right be accepted?

There is absolutely no defence for the 2 fellas attacking armed police in the reality of an airport environment, that applies whatever colour or creed the attackers are.

They deserve a severe sentence.

In my view the copper was a bit ott with the head kick but it’s a highly charged environment and protocols can sometimes go out of the window, he should get a bit of a slap on the wrist and some training.

Thats my view within the info I have seen.

This is unbelievable... normal precudure is to bail for 28 days and charge then so i can understand the delay initially but now... it doesnt add up

Perhaps, just perhaps the evidence, all the evidence, not just what weve seen, has led the DPP to question the validity of taking this case forward.

Who knows?

PS There are people still on bail for "Operation sheridan," which happened more than 10 years ago.

I’m sorry Raef. That’s utter bollocks.

12 year olds charged and convicted for throwing stones in the general direction of police.

And this!

nah,, this is political - as clear as night follows day did they punch police officers, there are no mitigating circulstances, they should be charged.
As I said on another thread - anyone that thinks we live in a democracy is deluded, we just try and hide it more than ,say, Thailand or China, but TBH I prefer their way, with it eing out in the open.
