Matchday Thread Millwall v PNE - 28/09/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

I’ve been all over watching this club, had some great times and some shit ones. Yesterday I couldn’t be bothered to watch or even keep up with the match - it’s all so meh! I’ll be there on Wednesday but yesterday I chose to finish a fucking jigsaw that’s been on the table for months - a fucking jigsaw for christs sake.
 
Started to watch the game on PNE I follow and as usual pictures and commentary out of synch. Switched to Millwall I follow which was synchronised. I thought for a moment Badges was back and had picked the team. Holmes wide left- no guile, pace or strength. Where is Okkels?Mads, Thor, Ledson and KK on the bench. No shape, pace or apparent plan. Surely Osmajic should have started with Riis. Big clear out required asap. Let’s hope we can survive till January. Poor performance again! Nothing has changed

3 hour drive back and I thought I’d calm down but I haven’t. I’ve not disliked a group of players as much since, funnily enough, the last relegation season. They are a bunch of tarts, absolutely shit themselves today and hid.

Woodman - playing like a Sunday league goalie, looked like he had a bet on for the second goal

Whiteman - everything he did was wrong. How the hell is he being picked?

Riis - either completely disinterested or completely untalented, so can’t decide but the result is the same

Keane - what a pansy. Soft as shit.

I could go on but I’m boring myself.

We are in big bother.

If it was a North End jigsaw, you wouldn’t be able to finish it, as you’d have some pieces missing.
 
20 hour day for all of sod, a few chickens came home to roost yesterday

Although game over by the time the substitutes came on their performance was the only bright spark of a poor performance

January won't make any difference, unfortunately. We'll just be saying in January that the players we brought in aren't very good, and need a pre-season with us NEXT summer, like we always do. It'll be too late. PNE are absolute dross and we've all seen it coming for about 3 seasons now. Every window, it's 'wait til the next one.'

This has been me from around February - put my time and effort into managing my lads team, get far more out of it and the lads give much more than our poor excuse for ‘professional’ footballers.

Yesterday was their 3rd game in their first season, ran their little socks off and came off with smiles on their faces. They then had a football party in the afternoon where Soccer Saturday was on in the background - suddenly was reminded we were playing…when I saw Millwall’s first goal flash up. Not even angry anymore as the team interest is completely gone. Until Ridsdale is gone, it won’t change - complete delusion by him, Hemmings and some of our fans. It’s now terminal, if we renew contracts to those running out - I honestly don’t know what Ridsdale would need to do for the fans to be demanding his removal from the club.

Kind of proven a point there because I notice you didn't answer the question. But what's new?

As for the stalker line, I'm not the one derailing football threads in a bid to try and appease my victim complex.
