Would love to see Sheffield United get to final but feel Man City will have to much for them. Would not mind Brighton in final as well tbh.

He deserves what’s coming to him but Fernandes laid hands on the linesman the other week with no punishment.

Although there is no specified punishment for such an offence you’d expect him to get a few more than the standard, worse than laying hands on the referee because of the way he shouted in his face after the card was shown.

He did more than just push him. He blocked and impeded his route back to the scene of play so the ref had to walk backwards with Mitro in his face. For a second it looked like it could get ugly but fortunately the other players and Boa Morte entered to try to calm things. The media are trying to draw an analogy with Fernandes not being punished for lightly pushing the linesman out the way to pick up the ball. Hardly similar - deserved a booking.

I wasn’t watching the game, I was focussing on the GP, so only saw a clip and not the whole incident. Whilst I agree it was worse than Fernandes, even before he ranted and raved into the referees face, I do think Fernandes should have been sent off as well because a player should never lay hands on an official.

Im a bit perturbed the media are going with the Fernandes comparison as I must be on the same wavelength!

Trouble is the bigger teams get leeway as we all know. Subconscious commercial pressure.

Mitrovic should get a 10+ game ban for that, totally unacceptable.

I don't understand why they lost it so much? It was handball and the rules state rightly or wrongly its a red card so he had to send him off.

The Fernandez thing was a storm in a teacup, and besides the linesman shoved him first. Even the FA and refs agreed with that.
Mitrovic was a full on bellend today though.

Yeah the Fernandes one was totally different, the liner put himself between him and the other lad to diffuse the situation, Fernandes hardly touched him and wasn't aggressive really in his actions. I thought at the time it was really good officiating from the linesman.

I think if he'd not been stopped Mitrovic would have lamped the ref today, he was out of control.

To quote Roy Keane.

"They haven't played anyone yet".

He's got them organised and motivated again but still nowhere near good enough to win owt.
Carabao Cup says "Hello!" 😂

Wouldn't surprise me if they win the Cup Treble this season.

I can also see WHU being triumphant in Europe, too.

Lineker has just stated that no club has won the FA Cup without conceding a goal. I seem to recall a certain double winning team doing it once.
I hope he gets loads of stick for that ignorant comment.

When Lineker says club, he actually means premier league club. That means a couple of clubs he played for might disappear from existence soon.

Twat.
