Might as well start this thread as today is the first day of free agency and already some expensive signings have been made:

Kirk Cousins signing a 4 year/180 million dollar deal not including a 50m signing bonus, being the biggest. Lot of money for a 35 year old QB, not sure if that will work out for the Falcons or not.

Barkley to the Eagles another surprising one.

Plenty more big money deals to be made and of course have the draft next month and all the intrigue that brings.

Go Bills!!!
Every single season it seems they are a lot of people's pick to make a SB run but never do. Which is a shame, as they have quality fans. Think if they draft well, they should be right up there again mind.

On a side note:

Do you pay attention to the Argonauts?

I can’t believe they’ve paid Cousins that much. Insane amount of money.

My team (Dallas) desperately need to go aggressive in free agency but they won’t do, not with Jerry Jones in charge.

Yeah a ridulous amount tbh; to be worth that amount of money in his 4 years will have to win at least two rings but don't see even one happening.

And a Cowboys fan huh? Welcome to my ignore list😆

Just kidding, Washington fan myself and hopefully our new owners bring the good times back. Dallas needs some pieces, but don't see them doing a ton tbh. And also FWIW and not sure you will agree or not, but I have always found Prescott to be pretty overrated as a QB; jmo.

What do you think of Dan Quinn appointment? I thought he was a great DC for us apart from the recent play off game against Packers, he lost us that game. However we went from one of the worst defences to the one of the best during his time so I thought he would’ve been next in line for the HC job after McCarthy.

With Dak, I think he’s got one of the hardest jobs in sport being the Cowboys QB. I thought he was great during the regular season last year but as soon as he gets to the play offs he’s like a rabbit in headlights. Not sure I would be giving him an extension.

I was very much against hiring Quinn at first, but after watching a lot of his interviews since taking over and his hard ass, take no prisoners demeanor, starting to warm up to him a bit. Maybe the team needs exactly that: A kick up the ass. And yeah really felt that McCarthy would lose his job, but Jerry held on to him for whatever reason. I mean yes, has won the division twice in 4 years, but the Cowboys expect SB runs not just making the postseason.

And yeah: From an outside perspective, Dak looks fantastic one game but then totally clueless the next game. Being the Cowboy's QB is not an easy thing due to expectations but until he man's up if you will in big games, they will never win anything with him under center. As of right now, he cannot handle the big moments.

That much money for a 35 year old is ridiculous. They'll be lucky if they get 2 years out of him. He ain't Tom Brady.

I agree about Prescott being overrated.

Some more interesting off season happenings:

-Russell Wilson to the Steelers and they are trading Pickett to the Eagles. Don't think Wilson has much left, but we shall see.
-Derrick Henry signing with the Ravens trying to get a SB ring before he retires, fair enough.
-Patrick Queen sigining with the Steelers, making their defense even better.
-My Commanders trading Howell to the Seahawks making it even more obvious going to take a QB with the 2nd pick(Hopefully Daniels).

Etc, etc.

How bout them Dolphins?

I know very little about NFL other than I picked the dolphins as "my team" when Channel 4 started showing it in the 80's as a nipper.

Absolutely love the kit, it still give a me a proustian rush to see it nowadays. Might treat myself to a t-shirt for summer.

Same for Jim Kelly with the Bills, got there more than once and lost each and every time smh.
