The Gentry North Enders in the Sky

At the game...?? Oh my, that's awful. Tragic.

But in so many ways he was in his temple.

RIP.
Condolences to all that knew him. RIP Bob

There was a medical emergency in which they shut the Alan Kelly walkway from Lowthorp Road to Sir Tom Finney Way 15 mins before KO. This forced us to walk right round the ground to reach the stand. Saw the ambulance turn up and hoped whoever was involved in the emergency recovered. Don’t know if this was the same incident or not.

Condolences mate...its rubbish when someone you have known forever passes. He's with the gentry now. ❤️

Condolences also from down here in London. Distances don't matter at times like this. We are all part of a sort of big extended family defined by a shared loyalty.

I lost a great friend today, In his 60 odd years as a Town Ender, Bob Clarke rarely missed a game. We travelled home and away across the country when I was a kid. He served Lancashire faithfully as a County Councillor and was fiercely proud of his working class heritage.

He collapsed at the Charlton game and was rushed to the PRI, but did not recover. RIP my old friend .

Oh no. Although we lost touch a good few years ago I knew Bob well. He was one of the good people and latterly took a struggling mutual lifetime North Ender friend of ours to every home game. Shout us on from afar with the rest of The Gentry, Bob.
Sleep soundly pal.

So sad to hear this news this morning. We were talking about the medical emergency on the game but had no idea it would be so close to home.
Bob sat on the row below me on the Town End since it's opening. He was a lovely man.
I'll miss looking down at him sitting hunched in his seat, hood over his head and face in his hands unable to watch any time we got a penalty.
Rip Bob.

Similarly, Bob has sat on the row behind me since the Town End opened.
Covering his eyes at penalties and even leaving if it was a cup game that went to penalties.
Shouting at the referee ("He's got his hands all over him").
Extremely nice chap, thoughts are with all of his family and friends. RIP Bob.

Bob was the scourge of all ref’s - not a one was ever good enough - we’ve pretty much been cheated out of a Champion’s League final by ref’s!

So very sorry to hear this , my thoughts are with the family and friends of Bob , another one of the Gentry joins those above
