Confirmed PNE Supporters Meeting Minutes - 16/11/22 (Response to open letter).

Well done by the club for answering the open letter as expected. The crux of the matter with regards to funding is down to FFP rules. Hence why the owner can only put in so much money. Personally I didn’t agree with a few taking it upon themselves to write to the club assuming they had a mandate from all their associates etc, but I am not surprised at all by any of the responses given by the club.
First and only one who thinks fans are wrong for asking and club are right for treating them with contempt

We've responded to this already.

The signaturies felt they represented a significant number of their relevant groups.

As a forum we would never claim to speak for all our users or patrons.

However, I believe we did the right thing in signing the letter and many of the points raised have been discussed for a long time on the board.

It's worth noting the opening of the minutes. Craig Hemmings was very gracious about the tone, wording and felt it was an opportunity to open ongoing dialogue with supporters.

I’m glad Craig Hemmings was gracious how very big of him. He told us nothing though absolutely nothing.

This whole thing has had one positive for me and that is to confirm my decision not to renew our season cards again. After all,I have a fixed budget and it will all be spoken for next summer before season cards are on sale.
Pretty much my thoughts too. I still haven’t been to an away game nor do I have any intention of doing so. It’s all so predictable every damned season.

There will be many more like you and it will be interesting how half season ticket sales go (this will of course depend on league position)

Same old same old…. I really appreciate everyone giving up their time and effort to try and get some answers , but basically we will have to make do with what we have got….

Nothing much changing anytime soon…..

So if the budget was spent in the summer, how are we proposing to bring anyone in during January window? Is it still dependent on moving Olosunde on?
This is a key question. Does nobody come in unless some players move on, like Johnson and Maguire, or unless Riis is sold?

I doubt there will be any incomings unless they are either very low cost, no fee, signing fee, loan fee or unless we have created space by moving on one, two or three players so that any signing does not increase our costs.
Can see another RL statement I was happy with the squad before the window, yes a signing would have been good but I'm happy with what we have. 🤔🙄

Our best hope is that Villa agree to loan is Archer back.

I suspect we would indeed 'find' the money should he become available.

They where adamant that there is a strategy and was challenged to explain it on several occasions.

I didn't leave that meeting convinced that is the case.
+1. Infact the longer I have thought about the discussions that were had, the more I feel we need change at this football club. Off the pitch we’re sleepwalking towards trouble

Summary for those that can't be arsed reading it -

PR explained that anything thats gone wrong is somebody else's fault.

Also, it looks like getting 91% in our health and safety exams could be the new 'We've paid our tax bill'

My biggest issue with what came across from the club is that they say we need to sell a player for £x amount every 2 or 3 years yet to get top money for a player they need to be on a longer term contract which contradicts what the manager wants. As soon as a player has 2 years left on a contract there value decreases so for me this is a flawed process from the beginning

I think that every Championship club in the top half of the table would be interested and willing to pay far more than we would, from his last loan I believe he's agreed a new contract at Villa on more money?

I’ve never known a set of minutes in business not to have actions and responsibilities alongside?

Utter tosh from the club and you can tell they have plenty of time to conduct predictable answers before the meeting.

I would absolutely love to know what Ryan Lowe/Alex N & co to think.
No actions, no action owners, no timeline….

If we think that Archer will come back here then we are all living in dreamland…..
