Thoughts? I hated Berhalter and do think we have the talent to be successful. Pochettino is the best we could have hoped for tbh. We will see how he does in the upcoming tournament. Key is to not totally embarrass ourselves as one of the host countries in the next WC.

Will see if I can get a hold of Eddie and ask him haha.

I think you needed to bring in a 'big' name prior to 2026. He gets 2 years now to concentrate on his squad and prepare for the WC.

I do also think its important that he speaks both English and Spanish. I was in the US for the Gold Cup last year and there seemed to be a bit of a disconnect with the USMNT and Hispanics/Latinos.

I know Berhalter can speak Spanish but I think hiring Poch gives it an element of inclusivity for those Hispanics/Latinos that support the MNT.

You have a decent enough squad tbf and I really like the front 6. Hopefully Gio Reyna can kick on because he's struggled the last few seasons. I also hope Musah has a good season at Milan as when he broke through at Valencia he was really exciting.

It's a good appointment all in all.

Some might just say it was Panama, but we have struggled against them always so a good 2-0 win for Pochettino in his debut last night. Already can see how he wants the USA to press a bit higher and really be quicker and I am all for it. Encouraging start. Now on to another tough one against Mexico on Tuesday.

I know this may sound weird, but I cannot find a way to care about the USA national team. I'm much more interested in the English national team.

Yes I have to say since you are an American, I do find that somewhat weird haha. Now, I have German roots so I somewhat pay attention to the German national team, but I consider myself American and have been to a ton of their games over the years.

To each their own👍
