What a way to spoil a game of football, Arsenal were always going to put every man and his dog behind the ball after going down to 10 anything else would have been complete suicide.

No sympathy for City whatsoever, they've always benefitted from decisions and they've clearly cheated their way to any success they have had with this investigation that is ongoing.

They're at the front of everything wrong with football such a boring empty money driven club with one of the most unlikable managers going and the football they play is boring and shite, I tired a long time ago of watching Haaland and co just bully teams into submission with their 80% possession and most expensive signings littered everywhere.

Paying to win and it's boring as fuck.

How did haalands get away with throwing the ball at an arsenal player after the equaliser?
Funny how var had no interest in it whatsoever.

Absolutely shocking that and City rightly fuming.

You cannot pull a player halfway across the pitch for a chat and then allow a quick free kick to exploit the position he has vacated.

IMO, that’s not quite what happened, though it was a bit marginal.

The freekick wasn’t really that quickly taken. Walker only jogged back into a defensive position - and then stood by an Arsenal player as if to mark him - and only THEN the free kick was taken. Walker had chosen to leave Martinelli (?) out wide on the touchline - then complained when he realised he’d been caught out.

On that Trossard sending off, IMO that was much harsher. Players are not machines. They have adrenaline coarsing through them, especially as he’d been involved in a heavy collision a second before the whistle blew… and it didn’t seem more than a split second before he hoofed it. IMO it’s the football authorities getting it wrong to put so much pressure to give yellow, without any leeway or benefit of the doubt.
If Trossard had received his yellow for the pretty dangerous barge which led to the whistle in the first place, I would be far less annoyed!

I agree re Trossard. Although the letter of the law says booking, it’s one of those situations where the referee needs to read the game and situation. It completely changed the game for a moment of borderline petulance where no player was fouled or endangered.

But I still stick by my point re Walker. If the referee drags a player yards up the pitch for a chat, he has to then be absolutely certain said player is set, there can’t be any sort of ambiguity about it. I don’t think Walker was given sufficient time to get back, set and give the okay. He’s not obliged to sprint back into position either for me, the referee called him over, not the other way around.

The Trossard 2nd yellow was fully deserved for me. He's on a yellow, he's committed a foul, and then a second after the whistle, he hasn't just tapped the ball or attempted a pass, he's absolutely hoofed the ball where no player is anywhere near. It clearly slowed down a possibly restart from taking place.

It was stupid from Trossard.

Even by their usual standards, I think this is the worst half of football I’ve ever seen from United. They actually look like they’ve got bets on Spurs to win

It's never a red card. Spurs should be 3 up. This is a performance from Man United that gets managers sacked. They've been absolutely woeful.

Has Goldbridge got something against PNE.
Turned on his live game podcast to have a laugh seeing him have a meltdown and he's picked us out to use as an example of how top managers can't turn shit players into good ones.
We were mentioned three or four times.
Might be true but fuck off and pick on someone else.🤣

Man United have Porto away, and Villa away before the next international break. 2 defeats and it could be the end of Ten Haag. It probably should be now really. I've no doubt the representatives of the likes of Tuchel, Southgate, Potter will all be making enquires about the job right now.

Having Southgate and Potter in the same sentence as Tuchel is absolutely disgraceful work 🤣
