The away match at Sheffield Wednesday 2012 has been confirmed as the date for this years Gentry day.

While we are all enjoying ourselves it is right to remember that the North End Gentry originally returned in memory of a fellow fan who sadly passed away.

Preston Supporters Group decided to make this a annual event for all of us to remember anyone from the PNE Community who has left us over the last 12 months.

With the sad loss of some well known and much respected supporters recently. I'm sure this will be an particularly poignant Gentry Day for many of us this season.

This thread is for you to post your names, memories, or stories about any relative, friend, or fellow fan or past player, you would like The Gentry to have in our thoughts on the day.

You can read more about The Gentry here.

Jordan Grant - aged 17 years

Jordan sadly passed away recently after suffering a cardiac arrest, Jordan was a massive pne fan who attended all PNE home games and many away games. Everyone who knew Jordie knows what a smashing down to earth kind hearted lad he was. He will me missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him and we will certainly be making a big effort for the Sheff Wed game.

RIP Jordie

I guess that my Dad will be in my thoughts if I manage to get to the match. I don't really have a story... because I was a little nipper when he died.

Brought up in Leyland, I know he used to go on. He must have seen pre- and post-war football. Shankley Finney.

And I never got to talk to him about it. 🙁

I dont have any specific tributes, but to all North End fans who have died in service, i tip my bowler to you !!

My Dad will be in my thoughts as he is at all PNE related events. This has been a pretty awful year and I will also be remembering the sad loss of the young ones in Katy and Jordan plus the one and only Shaky - God Bless all our loved ones and thanks to all re making this a routine event that serves to remind us of what is really important in life.

God bless to your dad mate, and the rest of your family.

Jordan , Katy, and Shaky, not forgetting my dad Cliff , all who passed away at the start of this sorrow tinged year.
Lets remember the happy times and when we remember lets remember with a smile.

Myself, Al and A few others will be "re-creating" the first ever time we met Shaky which was on the way to Sheffield Wednesday when we went on the train....

We met the newly formed Yorkshire Supporters Group and went on to have a brilliant afternoon in Sheffield and this was even compelled with a fine PNE Victory 3-1 if I remember rightly.

If this years Gentry Day is even half as a good a day out at that day was it will be a brilliant tribute. Shaky sadly is unable to join us, however I'm sure he will be with us in spirit.

Just watching the goals fly in at Elland Road last night made me wonder what Shaky would of been saying this morning...... 😉

My son Michael Kelly taken from me in 2008 aged 18, lifelong fan, saw his first game aged 4 then a regular till we moved away. His brick on the walk of fame in between David Beckham and David Nugent two of his PNE legends

Gone but never ever forgotten.
