The away match at Hull City on February 12th 2011 has been confirmed as the date for this years Gentry day.:gentry:

While we are all enjoying ourselves it is right to remember that the North End Gentry originally returned in memory of a fellow fan who sadly passed away.

Preston Supporters Group decided to make this a annual event for all of us to remember anyone from the PNE Community who has left us over the last 12 months.

This thread is for you to post your names, memories, or stories about any relative, friend, or fellow fan you would like The Gentry to have in our thoughts on the day.

You can read more about The Gentry by viewing our Gentry Day Thread.

My son Michael Kelly passed away in 2008, took him to his first game on the old town end when he was 4, from that day on he was a true fan. Avid programme reader from a young age could have done stats on mastermind i reckon. Biggest thrill and biggest disappointment for him was the play off final in 2005.

Fav players: Andy Saville,Sean Gregan,Ricardo Fuller,David Nugent.

Miss him always, would have been 21 this year.

RIP Michael
Always blue and white.

My sincere condolences to all those who have lost a loved one or a dear friend that post on this thread.
POWER to the GENTRY as the old chant used to go. Long live the Gentry with all it's memories.

My Mum Lillian Curtis, nee Rance . RIP. 14-3-30. PNE till she died 27-12-92.

For my Dad - every time I attend a PNE game I have that moment of memory of the great games that we attended together. I sat on his shoulders against Aston Villa in the 60's aged two in the early days / stopped in a pub overnight at West Brom after a league cup match in the 70's in my teens / and in later days I remember Hartlepool away in the rain on a cold tuesday night etc - nice memories out of a large selection

Sandra Kerrigan

A lovely lady who loved PNE to bits. Taken far too young.

I think that should be sang at Hull Mr R it would be very fitting.

I will be thinking of my grandad and uncles who were Preston fans. My dear friend Jenny who died a couple of years ago in February, and all fans and friends no longer with us.

I would Love it if we had a memorial day at PNE where we can remeber all fans who have passed away I put the idea forward a few years back but got no response

The picture of the champions with the 3rd division trophy brings back great memories. Always felt it a shame that the late great Alan Kelly wasn't on the picture. Was he injured at the time?

My DAD Gerry Ollerton died 29 Nov 2010. Started me off on the football walk of life from me being about 6 years old. We travelled to grounds both near and far whilst he was refereeing and I met super stars of the day wherever we went, a dream for a little lad of that age. So many memories of some fabulous times. After retiring from that he started commentating for hospital radio at PNE a job he did for almost 40 years.

R.I.P fella you'll be here with me forever.

RIP Ian Clark

An absolute gent, proud Northender and taken away too soon. Very influential and clever bloke who I had a lot of time for.

Sadly missed.
