I was part of the old gentry along with lots of others but recently iv been to more funerls than i care to remember of lads who were there in the Alan Ball era but sadly no longer with us. It saddens me but I just hope we get out of this situation because those lads have worked hard over the years helping the club get were it is today and to go down i feel would be an insult on them. RIP all northenders we lads still around will always remember you and will always keep fighting the good fight. Love to all.

Well said Steve...I was a bit too young to be one of the original gentry in 1971 only being 11. I did see them though at all the home games and the away games my dad took me to.

The "In `69" song is a great anthem harking back to the start of the gentry.

I remember going down to Fulham on Fishwicks and when we got there the gentry were outside singing....

Kelly is better than Yashin
Spavin is better than Eusebio
And Fulham are in for a thrashin`

WALLY ADLEM
Died at the age of 57 far too young. Loved a drink or two in his beloved PNE Supporters Club before during & after watching the north end. Fond memories of having a drink with him & his buddies as well before going on the old west stand.Never forget the time when we went to the fulham game on the train to clinch promotion even though i was only 5 yrs old! R.I.P DAD

I too knew Ian, we used to sit on the same table in the Invincibles Hospitality Lounge. RIP.
 
RIP Bob (Robert) Darnley - sadly passed away just before Christmas 2010 - a true Nobber - Home and Away.
This one will be for you and all those gone before.

In 1978 I used to go to blackpool tech, once a week....always wore my silk scarf, and Instead of working I would just write all the north end songs I could think of on a little notepad.......wow 33 years ago......seems like only yesterday.........................................................................................................
