Enjoyed listening to the Steve Eyre post match interview on Radio Blackburn…very positive and made some very good points.
Sorry haven’t got tech skill to post.

He seems a good level headed pundit does Steve Eyre…

He certainly says it as it is…

Edit : I didn’t realise that he was Fred Eyres son. Fred was a goalie who played for Wigan along with several non league clubs.

We are also not gonna be playing lowly teams every week. 4 out of our last 5 games were very winnable games. We didn't win any of them.

There's a stretch of games from late Jan to mid March where we play 7 out of the current top 10 sides. All within a 10 game run.

If we have a typical cost neutral January transfer window, that run of games becomes very worrying.

So, I think these next few games this month are pretty vital for us. We can't be handing the likes of Cardiff, QPR and Hull three points. Or we will get swallowed up in the table.

If we can have a good December, it will give us some breathing room at least.
We need to pick up more than a point against other teams in the bottom 8 or 10 teams, starting with Cardiff away.
Otherwise we are going to not help ourselves and make things even more difficult with added pressure against the teams in the top half.
We quickly need to start putting more than a point a game on the board.
Very quickly we will be over the half way point and then looking at the end of season run in,we all know how well we finish the end of the season usually.🤔☹️

We have finished most recent seasons poorly probably due to mid table obscurity and subsequent lack of motivation.
The one season we finished strongly in recent years was when Neil left and we were not quite safe. Think we got something like 17 points from the last 7 games.
This season I hope we finish strongly whatever our position going into the last 6 games.
Edit- To be clear I am not excusing the poor finishes they have been a downright disgrace

I'm just concerned that if we do not have a decent points buffer between us and the bottom three, before going into the last 6 or 7 games.
Then due to our usual poor final end of season run in,we are in for a very nail biting end to the season.🤔

Luton won't be in relegation trouble. They'll be comfortably mid table soon, probably same for Coventry aswell.

Pompey and QPR having a revival isn't great. However Oxford and Derby are both starting to fall back down the league now so wouldn't shock me if both are in the bottom 3 soon. You've also got Plymouth in the mix with Rooney and their awful defending.

Hull losing at least. That was an interesting decision from Ruben Selles. I can understand him taking the job but he had a decent shot at getting Reading promoted so would've had some good offers in the summer if he'd done that.
Just bought in Mike Phelan as assistant to him. January has got funds to purchase. New investor coming in that will take us to a mid table team in terms of budget from bottom two.

I shall have a word at coffee club this Friday, any such aspirations shall be crushed along with any hopes and dreams

Tell him,he would make a very good Santa, white beard, red suit and no extra padding required.
Leave on the Deepdale door step enough funding for a minimum of three quality January signings.

Didn’t know that. Fred Eyre’s book “Kicked Into Touch” is one of the best/funniest books about football that I’ve ever read - highly recommend.
Not so sure he was a goalkeeper though Ando. Pretty sure he played outfield somewhere.

KKH is pretty damn good at getting into those overlap positions honestly. He's often bombing up the outside to get a return ball, and I've noticed him a few times getting into the area to try and get a shot in.

I like Potts' work rate, and his physicality as an outlet. But yesterday he completely blew that huge chance, and also was way too soft defensively for the cross that led to their goal their player had too much space.

Potts Luton goal last season trumps anything KKH will do . But I agree he blew it yesterday and I can’t help thinking that ‘stand in wing back ‘ with all the talk of getting a new one in the window is demoralizing for him. I wish there was someway to fit him in in midfield .. but

It was in August 2022.

But he's still dining out on it, despite 2 years of clodhopping since.

Expect another worldie in about a year's time, when his next contract extension is due.
