Imagine being one of those parents. You cannot even comprehend what they're going through right now and my heart absolutely goes out to them, I'm completely devastated for them.

Doesn't matter where in the country it is but being in Southport, just down the road, brings it a little bit too close to home.

Sadly you’ve described that perfectly. I felt and still do feel the same way about the Manchester bombing in 2017.

It’s tragic to see it happen anywhere in the country, but when it takes place on what feels like your doorstep it makes it feel ever more real in a sense.
 
I have a grandson who attends nursery. The thought of those poor children playing, just like he would, well I don’t mind admitting I could cry reading this. Those poor children and families.

If this is down to ‘religion’ then said religion needs kicking out. Along those who support it’s twisted ideals.

This is beyond sickening.

‘One child has reportedly died and at least seven other people, including children, have been critically injured by a knifeman during a stabbing spree in Southport this morning.

Armed police officers swooped on Hart Street in Southport, Merseyside, at 11.50am, after a knifeman rampaged through a Taylor Swift-themed kids' dance and yoga workshop in a community space.’m
 
Weve been discussing, at length, Police conduct on another thread, this really is the other side where we see them at their very best. I cant imagine, for one moment, being a first responder to an incident like this! Truly horrendous and I seriously hope they get the counselling that they need.

Killing him would mean that we would never find out the motive, if there are others involved, if there is an ideology involved. so many things that need to be known.
 
Eyewitnesses said they saw a man in a 'black hood' arrive in a taxi with a knife before the attack which left people on the street 'in tears' and 'screaming'.

Locals said they originally saw children running from the building and assumed there had been a car accident because a vehicle was covered in blood.

But they quickly realised something more sinister had occurred when they saw 'seven to ten kids' who were 'injured and bleeding' outside the nursery.

Looks like it was a Taylor Swift kid's yoga class for ages 2-6 at The Hart Space, a community centre for pregnant women and little children.

Without any doubt a premeditated attack,. It just looks like every other centre of it's kind with fun classes on, children smiling on the photos and young women running the classes, the likes we all know.

Shook me to the absolute core this, can't fathom what makes someone do something so, so evil.
 
It takes a lot for me to get upset but I'm upset and angry in equal measures today.
I have two grandchildren with one starting nursery in a few weeks time My heart goes out to the families effected as I know I'd be distraught.
This needs to stop NOW!!
Anyone caught with a knife should be locked up.
No ifs or buts. Prison.
Sentencing needs to be harsher.
In this case, I'd happily flick the switch and be happy to see the twat burn.

This has proper upset me as well!
 
Been following this horrific story all afternoon and my thoughts are with all those injured and their families - I can't imagine what they are going through.

Targeting innocent kids like that just sickens to me to the core and calling the perpetrator a coward is an understatement - I concur with others in saying the guy should be hung for what he's done.

Praying those injured pull through and make a speedy recovery.
