Decent return this season at our level though, so maybe a case of just taking a long time to find his feet.I have followed Carlton Morriss' progress since his youth days with Norwich City. He was in the Norwich team as a striker that won the FA Youth Cup in 2013 against Chelsea, in that team was Harry Toffolo who is now with Huddersfield and played against us on Wednesday.
Given Morriss' size, 6'2", and age, hes has just turned 26 in December, I would have expected him to have scored more goals than he has. He has played 179 games, 32 of these with Hamilton up in Scotland, he has only scored 31 times, 8 for Hamilton, this equates to only 1 goal every 5.8 games or 8 goals a season. Is this enough goals or do would we require a more prolific scorer.
From first watching him in his youth days I thought that the future was very bright for him, but for me, he hasn't reached his full potential by any means.
I'd much prefer us to sign a 10 a season Championship striker with physical qualities, than a guy who has bagged 20+ in L1 or SPL.
