Summer 2022 : Transfer Window Rumours and Discussion

Where have they got their money from. Thought they were riddled with debt?

The alleged £65 million they had to pay back upon relegation wasn't anything like that - was more like £15 million with more to come season by season, so they're not in financial meltdown like was reported.

Thats a shame then.

How long has Bayliss got left? if its more than a year, a loan maybe best- he may have a storming season and be worth a few quid in January.. though if its just 12 months then off he pops.
A real shame/waste of money and 3 years of his career.

contracted until June 2023. If he does go it really need to be for a fee. Right player at the wrong time imo. Never really fitted into the style of play under AN.

Is Steve Bruce that bad? 3 promotions to the prem in the last 18 years, with the last being Hull in 2016. Did awful at Newcastle though I suppose. I would say he's a Dinosaur but the 3 promotions make me wonder if he's actually that bad.
Everyone seem to be making Norwich and Watford the favourites, but I think WBA will have a very good chance of getting automatic…

Hasn't done them much good then has it? Same league as us and will probably be next season as well.
They finished 7th, we finished 13th. If they had a full season with Wilder in charge they would’ve been in the top 6. They’re up there amongst the top 3/4 to win the league.
