Summer 2024 : Transfer Window Rumours and Discussion

We were also willing to match the offer made by Sheff Utd for Burrows but the lad made it absolutely (but respectfully) clear that he wanted Sheff Utd, hence no improved offer to Posh
Who could blame him, he will probably be a premiership player in a year or two something he will find much harder to achieve here.

It reminds me a little of Brown's final pre season. He had two unspectacular mid table seasons so would've been logical to make a change in summer 2004. Instead had one year left on his deal so club at the time clearly decided to give him the start of next season to see how he did.

The start was actually o.k, beat Watford at home and then were 2-0 up at Wolves before drawing 2-2 as Etuhu was sent off (Wolves just been relegated from the prem). However then lost away to Gillingham and Brighton and also at home to a Sheffield United team who were down to 10 men for 75 minutes.

Brown was out and Billy Davies then appointed for Rotherham at home on August bank holiday.

I think Lowe is gone if he loses three in a row in opening two months, I actually think a heavy defeat on Friday would put him on the brink. People thinking he can just withstand a run of 1 win in 10 at any stage up to January are thinking Riddler's backing makes him unsackable. I really doubt that given Hemmings Jr comments at the end of last season.
I like the ending . Billy Davies!

Cheers Peter. Awfully long article to tell us absolutely nothing

Tells us he's got zero instinct for forward planning and is being reactive again.

If a player is saying they might want to leave next year (through their agent or otherwise), it would be best to be aware of this ASAP - not a week before the season starts. 😒

That way, we'd have had all summer to thrash out new contract talks or drum up interest.

Now, we're in the same old situation under this clown; player once worth millions going for free.

And Sleepy Pete's trying to spin it as 'a good thing'? 😳

It's almost as if he isn't suited to the modern game.

Woodman will be the one who will leave at the end of next season. Wants a return down South.

He'll take a *pay cut to play for his dad at Bromley.

(assuming his dad does well enough there)

*Edit: Bromley probably pay more than we do anyway

Pleased to hear we are finally talking to players with 12 months left - we should have started the conversations weeks ago though.
Peter had it in his diary, but to be fair it did clash with an enormous Cadbury's Creme Egg from Easter he found in his cupboard.

And to be extra fair to him, it was one of the ones with the free impractically tapered mugs, so he had to sort out that debacle.
