The former is already contracted with very little chance of moving him on, so the latter is irrelevant.

There's no room for another midfielder, especially one who might be absolutely finished.

If the money that was to be used on the permanent RWB before the deal fell through could be used on another CB to make it 2 CB signings then that’d make it a superb window.

Maybe ask about James Hill on loan as a further signing.
