At a guess:

Woodman
KKH - Storey - Gibson - Hughes
McCann - Ledson
Greenwood - Keane - Frokjaer
Osmajic

Without a LWB through the door I don’t think any team we put out would matter

The squad is so imbalanced at the moment

That's as balanced as I could get it, but I think Hughes would injure himself playing a full 90 at LB.

Yep. Only other option is Holmes and given he was bent over by a 20 year old on his wrong side, I dread to think what either Doughty or Jones would do to him

As everyone agrees without a left wing-back any team we put out will be unbalanced and contain some less than satisfactory improvisation. Whatever Hughes may have been previously the only position in which he is now really worthwhile is on the left of a back three or just maybe in emergency in the centre of a back four - he no longer has the pace or agility to play as either a left-back or left wing-back so that to put it bluntly while he may know what to do when played there he just cannot do it quickly enough. However we may have to play him in one of those ways as a least worst option.
Otherwise there is no point trying to play Keane in some sort of deep-lying role because again he lacks the pace to get from there to the only place he can make a worthwhile contribution which is right upfront. Osmajic must surely have earned a start though PH may still prefer Riis. But it is difficult to see how PH can fail to select Woodman, Storey, Gibson, Kesler-Hayden, McCann, Greenwood and one or other of Osmajic and Riis. That would still leave four places with Hughes probably getting one of them. As for the other three I might go for Frokjaer, Thordarson and Ledson.

I think if he wanted to switch to a back 4 with what we have available, they would have used yesterday as a practice run.

Given that...

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Gibson
Holmes, McCann, Ledson, KKH
Mads, Greenwood
Osmajic

Would be my guess.

I think we might have Hughes at LWB and KKH on the right (it's not ideal, but it's necessary).
The next problem is whether Mads or Holmes will start. I think Mads will start with Holmes replacing him early if he's not 'at it'.
Osmajic deserves to start, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hecky goes for a 'fresher' Riis.

Harsh! I thought Holmes did alright last night - got very unlucky for the goal because he got a foot in and it bounced of Small's shin and into his path.

In many ways, it was similar to our first goal. Osmajic is 50/50 with their goalkeeper and Osmajic gets the break.

Well, PH did say that Ledson would play the next away game, and he can hardly leave McCann out, so you may be right with that lineup.

I take what managers say and then do with a pinch of salt especially in post match interviews.

Looks about rights although Holmes looks a weak link. Should he swap sides with KKH?

I would go,

Woodman
Storey Gibson Hughes
Holmes McCann Thordarson KKH
Greenwood Mads
Osmajic

However I think Ledson will play but I thought not using him at all last night may have indicated he could have been on his way.

I’d go with

Woodman

KKH Storey Gibson Hughes

Ledson McCann

Holmes Mads Greenwood

Osmajic

Keane has been poor recently. Just highlights the need for a bloody LB.
