Team for Watford

Woodman

Kesler-Hayden Storey Lindsay Hughes

Ledson McCann

Potts Thordarson Frokjaer

Okkels

Assuming Osmajic is unavailable:-

Woodman
KKH, Storey, Lindsay, Brady
Thordarson, McCann
Bowler, Frojkaer, Okkels
Riis

I’d probably go with Hughes just because I think defensively that back 4 is suicidal but other than that I agree

Watford have lots of pace and runners from midfield so I'd probably revert to three at the back again just to have an extra body covering.

Whiteman is a guaranteed yellow card if he starts and is up against Dele-Bashiru.

Fully expecting zero points from these next two.

Whoever we include I hope we see Kessler- Hayden and Thordarson starting. Okkets too

P.S. possible Scottish call up for Liam Lindsay is being mooted

As I've explained elsewhere I would certainly have Kesler-Hayden at right-back and both Thordarson and Frokjaer in midfield in the starting eleven. Other than that Woodman, Storey and Lindsay effectively pick themselves because we have no alternatives. The leaves five places of which one the left-back position will be filled by either Hughes or Brady with one of Osmajic, Riis or Keane upfront. That leaves three places with given Greenwood's absence I would say McCann, Ledson, Bowler and Potts most likely vying for them though PH may persist with Whiteman and maybe even give Okkels a start. Harsh as it may seem because the fellow does not lack effort starting Holmes is a false policy. PH has said that he is still learning about the squad - well hopefully after Saturday he has learned a few lessons.

I am going to be radical here, the #9 in my selection has I believe played up top earlier in his career. Call it a False 9 if you will. He can at least shield the ball for the 3 behind him.

I know the LB, CM and up top won't happen, be the same old, same useless faces. If the useless awful Riis starts...

Woodman
KHH Storey Lindsay Best
Ledson McCann
Bowler Mads Okkels
Thor.

This is such bollocks 😂. His off the ball work is as good as anyone in the team’s yet apparently he’s not arsed

Let’s also gloss over the fact that when he doesn’t play our creative output is zilch

You have your opinions I'll fuckin have mine simple as, imo he loses the ball way to often and it comes back straight at us I'm not assed what anyone thinks because this is my opinion

I wouldn't be surprised to see us go with a similar setup to how we played against Luton, as Watford play a 3421.

So my guess is we'll see a back 3 with Potts at RWB and KKH at LWB and will be like a 3331 that we saw in that Luton game.

Round pegs in round holes.

The manager has been changed. The focus of accountability is now firmly on the players. If they're not up for the fight, then perhaps they should let us know and we can avoid having to watch them sulk on the pitch looking sorry for themsevles.

Woodman
KKH Storey Lindsay Hughes
Thor McCann
Potts/Bowler Holmes Mads
Keane (The version at the start of last season, please)

Whatever the team, Thor. Mads and KKH must start. Only Ryan Lowe would put all three on the bench two games in succession.

Not against Ledson starting either. Just think Thor and McCann will have the edge as a partnership.
