I once added the term ‘gluesniffer’ to my work colleagues long winded title. Whilst he was in the bog. I don’t think anyone ever notice and it stayed that way for at least a year before he left.
 
Starting to see more and more lawsuits in the US from people given 'affirmative treatment' when they were children, including puberty blockers, sex hormones, and surgery such as mastectomies and castration. Suspect that legal action is the only way this will stop given the unwillingness/inability of some lawmakers to do anything about it:

A researcher who received federal funds for a study on treating transgender youth with puberty blockers has refused to publish the results because she fears they could be “weaponized” to oppose gender-transition drugs for minors.

The doctor in this case refuses to release a report for publicly-funded research into transition because it contradicts the doctor's beliefs. Make no mistake - this fanatical ideologue believes that any safeguards and mental assessments of young people before prescribing medication are unnecessary obstacles. No idea if this case will succeed, but it is already shining light into some very dark corners - as are many others.

There will be theses written about that, I suspect - and I hope that the media will be held to account.

Im quite happy for that but, as Ive stated on several occasions, as long as this doesnt turn into the dog whistling, seen aimed at other minorities, begin to be aimed at those who genuinely feel more comfortable cross dressing.

As I said on the Trump thread, the pendulum swinging too far the other way is always something to watch out for. I suspect that most Americans, even conservatives, don't care what you as an individual wear or do - that is your right. It's when you start asking for things that impinge on the rights of others that we have problems. Women's rights, gay rights, and safeguarding of children.

Unfortunately, too many gender ideologues kept pushing and pushing, so we are where we are. All very needless and a failure of progressive parties everywhere. I do feel sorry for the genuine transsexuals - they have been caught up in this shite when, certainly from the small sample set I know, they simply wanted to quietly get on with their lives without any trouble.
 


An interesting development - still a long way to go, but if the Green Party continues to see sense and shift away from the gender ideologues, |I might actually be able to vote for them! 😀
