Think of me please

They are my last trip cost us just short of £600 in travel insurance and that was the cheapest I could get. Once you turn 70 the costs of travel and car insurance gets ridiculous. Needless to say I probably won’t go abroad again it’s way too expensive for insurance.
Totally agree Joan, I’ve got type 2 diabetes and asthma and my annual insurance just for me was about £300+

I have the same Ando, what I should have said it was £600 for the 2 of us. Tesco travel insurance it was cheaper by a good margin too.

I’ve just checked mine Joan, I am with “ Love it cover it “ and it cost me £295 for annual multi trip…….

I remember the days ( before I had ailments ) when you could do a single trip for about £15 !!!

Mine was for a 2 week holiday!

And if you do need to claim, they’ll find the smallest excuse not to pay out.
This is very true…..

I read an article a few months ago about a bloke who had a heart attack whilst on holiday abroad but the insurance company wouldn’t pay out because he hadn’t declared that he was asthmatic….

I never used to add Asthma to my medical conditions on my quote request, until I read that story…….

I saw that article too. Insurance is a (yet another) broken system!

They get you both ways, if you add health issues, the price goes up, if you don't they won't pay out when you need it.

I liken it it to being on death row, one day yhe call is going lot come, you just don’t know when. Things have been hard emotionally lately, but we go on.
Keep scrapping pal. Lots of us here are thinking of you often.

I can only imagine how you feel, but please do all you can to find a little light in your days and a reason to smile as much as you can.

I really feel for you pal, it’s easy for us to say positive things but in your situation being positive isn’t easy I know. We’re all thinking of you pal and wishing you all the best.

I can understand that, my daughter was given the all clear yesterday, and I said to her she needs to rest and take her time because both her body and emotions have been traumatised. The same for you, be kind to yourself and heal at your own pace. As others have said you have plenty of support here for you.

I get overwhelmed by all of your support, it means the world to me. Every day is different as in I feel like a menopausel woman (no offence meant to the ladies) as my emotions are all over the place. At least I don’t get the hot flushes like the wife.
Fuck it Adelaide lad, embrace those emotions. Use them to your benefit and don’t be worried about letting them out. As aunty Joan says, be kind to yourself and treat yourself how you would treat a small child, with all the love and care in the world.
