Maybe that tackle to save an otherwise certain goal tipped it his way? I’d have said Thordarson myself but I always think maybe the sponsor might well pick the player they want to meet.

I would say that happens 99% of the time with match day sponsors. Just vote for there favourite player so they can meet them which make it pointless really

I suppose that if they are prepared to bung five hundred quid in the direction of some deserving charity I wouldn't be too bothered if they just want to meet their favourites, not sure everyone would agree on who to choose anyway, I guess that some games recently it would be difficult to choose anyone.

We’re at the stage where basically McCann needs to have a 6/10 game and he’ll get it.

Did well in the second half, but his quality in the final third was dreadful at times. Summed up by the ‘shot’ he had from the edge of the box.

Thor was much the better of the two.

Yes - McCann played well yesterday but his shooting has never been a strongpoint for him. Thordarson was much more influential and should properly have got the MoM Award. Whatever PH now has to recognise that the McCann-Thordarson partnership is clearly our best central midfield pairing and he has to continue with it.

If we could get a decent offer for Whiteman, I wouldn’t hesitate to sell him.

Birmingham may be a good move for him. I can’t see a Championship club coming in for him at the moment

I said a few months ago that I could see no other reason for Whiteman keep getting selected other than him being captain.
Let’s hope that second half performance has convinced PH that Thor/McCann must be given a run of games now.
There isn’t an international break until March now so hopefully the longer they play the better they will get.

Be great if we could try and big him up to Watford as they were once apparently keen. They need CMs as only really got Louza, as Sissoko and Kayembe are massive liabilities. Young lad Dwomoh looks alright but not getting much game time.

Not worth selling for cheap though. Thor and Whiteman can be a fine partnership, as shown midweek. Just not as good as Thor and McCann. But Whiteman and McCann together is too negative.

When Alex Neil was manager you were told who was the MoM ! With Ryan Lowe you were given a voice of 3. Not sure yet how it works with Hecky. Previous to that it was a free choice.
