Why would lowe, leave Plymouth?
Billionaire owner who backs the club and manger

A good point. Plymouth have much more to attract them than us - bigger city, no competition of a similar size close by, no footballing giants to poach fans, more money available (allegedly). All we have is our glorious and ever receding history.

( typed with the knowledge that the problem
isn't a quick , easy one to solve ) but it's a Coach/Trainer one.....
Young players , like people who are forced by a physical accident to change their writing hand from , say right to left & vice-
versa, - CAN be coached to become "Two-
Footed / Ambidextrous.
This should happen with the Young Players at Deepdale/Euxon, and with time, EVEN a certain DJ...
There's a really easy way to solve it. Stop signing bloody number 10s.

Disappointed Schumacher isn't following. Plymouth have wasted absolutely no time appointing him - clearly highly thought of. Lowe will now have to build a relationship with a new number 2 as well as the existing coaching staff and playing squad.

Ryyyyan Lowe, Lowe, Lowe,
He shits on Mourinho,
Ryan Lowe, Lowe, Lowe,
Loved from Plymouth, to Burscough

Some absolutely corking posts on the Plymouth forum. My two personal favourites:

The delusion is magnificent. For a club that spent a grand total of *checks notes* ZERO seasons in the top flight in their history compared to our 46, and zero trophies to our two FA Cups, it’s very amusing to see.
Steady on, they are the biggest Club in the County...The ONLY CLUB bar the Mighty Exeter in the County of Devon, which has , granted , a huge RoyalNavy Dockyard, a Bloody Great empty (Dart)Moor, a few ponies, a Prison, lots of Clotted Cream &
s.f.a. else......

Yeh rite, Massive.

And in the middle of nowhere, hence why they rarely attract top players and why they've spent their entire existence in the lower leagues.

And as mentioned above, they're well run but not rich.

Ryan Lowe, he’s manager of North End,
Ryan Lowe, he loves the Alan Kelly Town End,
Ryan Lowe, We’ll never give the ball away.

So a bit like Newcastle and Sunderland then - without the coal mines/heavy industry!

About 3hrs to Glasgow/ Edinburgh and London though on the train, plus that area is just mental for footy, people in Devon don't really give a shit about it.

What is quite unique about Lowe as well is he will not have his players keep possession for the sake of it. He likes to play expansive football, but swiftly as his side moves the ball quickly through the thirds with urgency in order to catch out opponents rather than allowing them to get more bodies behind the ball. And the Plymouth boss is not afraid to commit men forward, with his midfielders sometimes bursting forward into a wing-back position in space on the edge of the area in case there is a defensive error with a clearance.

The way Lowe executes his plan on the pitch is nothing short of extraordinary and it is not at all surprising to see this well-equipped coach being given the task of an ambitious Championship club. Preston have players that he will be excited to start working with on the training pitch like midfielder Ben Whiteman, and the new manager looks to be the one to steer the club in the right direction. He is a visionary and someone who is destined to have an even brighter future in the higher echelons of the game. He is not afraid to stick to his ideas and believes in the tactics he sets out, which is why clubs higher in the Football League will continue to monitor his progression. Lowe is sure to leave his own mark on English football.

Almost everywhere in England is about 3 hours from London - except the Cumbria coast.

True, they are football mad in the NE but it still a bit of a backwater in that foreign 'stars' don't really want to go there. With all the millions at their disposal the only person they could persuade to manage them was Eddie Howe**. I suspect if Howe had come to PNE half this board would underwhelmed! With the exception of Liverpool and Manchester United, who are 'world' teams rather than English ones, I suspect most foreigners would prefer to sign for a top London team so they could be near to the bright lights and fleshpots of Soho rather than be stuck in the provinces.

** - I'm not Nostradamus, it could turn out to be a brilliant appointment.
