CONFIRMED Nevin signs pro deal.

Great news - thinks that’s just the confirmation from what we suspected toward the back end of the season?

Hopefully see him play tomorrow in one of the teams if we have a different one each half

How tall is he? Looks a big lad. Especially compared to all the other youth players we’ve given pro contracts too in recent years

I think he was offered one, but maybe hadn't signed yet?

Saw him play a couple of times last year. Not the tallest but strong and aggressive in the challenge. Definitely caught the eye. Wouldnt be against seeing him in the cup game actually to see how he would cope.

We say publicly we don't want a new centre-back. Wait for Nevin to sign his deal, thinking he'll have a decent pathway. Now that deal is inked, we can go out and acquire the ball playing Rolls Royce of a centre-half we desperately need. It was all just mind games right? Right...

Would have thought now we've given this lad a deal we're down to our 6th or 7th choice wing backs on the list.

Hadn't even realized he hadn't actually signed when the others had..... his deal was promised 2 years ag when he signed as a scholar so this news has nothing to do with our transfer window...

Really shone through the backend of last season in the U19's..... reads the game well, good footballer, size and build wise he is more a Ben Davies than a Pat Bauer.

Does the delayed signing of the contract possibly indicate that another club was interested in him for their under 23 squad?

Or Nevin himself wanted to see what his options were elsewhere because in the next 12 months his only realistic chance of impressing and getting an extension is by going out on loan and that didn't work for 3 of last year's 1st year pros.
